I am sure the abuse I get must terrify* some would-be posters as it takes a brave man/woman to continue to post in that environment. (*Which is of course the aim.)

I imagine some of your offensive and damn right nasty posts put members off posting or even registering.

You go around this forum just asking for it. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

alot of people can be accused of bullying myself included... I often rise to the occasion when an indivudal posts an overly biased... bordering on ridiculous posting offering advice.

Just think what you are telling people... to buy a house now... telling them to buy providing 'evidence' but forgettng any of the negatives is just morally wrong.... what if on that advice they lose their home?.

I will become touchy over stupid postings along these lines, because otherwise we have idiots telling people 'advice'... and that leads to people being hurt.

I'm talking about people ignoring the correction/reductions that are now splattered daily over every newspaper..refutting official figures...

Fine.. believe this... but dont spin it to try and convince and trap another individual.. this is evil.

There's that accusation again without anything to back it up. Come on, link please.

Don't need links to back this up Mr H, everyone on here knows what she's like.

I think you mean you can't back it up, because the posts of which you speak do not exist.

I have never, ever seen any.

All I see is you accusing someone else of being abusive and nasty and refusing to provide any evidence.

As it stands, your (and others') accusations do not hold water. I will continue to ask for evidence of these so-called abusive posts from Carolt until either the links are provided or the baseless accusations stop.

Glad its not just me then that has noticed her playground tactics of belittling those that have a different opinion to her.

Are women not to be the more mature out of the human race:rotfl:In jest ;)

Neverdespairgirl is perfectly reasonable though, she might have an opinion but she doesn't try to make out other people's informed decisions are wrong or they are ill-informed. Carol's sheer arrogance that she knows more about our personal situation than we do as to judge whether I can make the best decisions for my family blow me away.

I find it incredibly that she argues with figures like it would cost 300 GDP more to buy than rent so you must rent (in my case it doesn't - just a relocation) so mercenary and just like the BTLers/property investors lacking in understanding that stable tenured homes are necessary for families to get on with their lives and that to some money is to be spent on accessing such things regardless of whether we can rack up some investment portfolio - I guess I'm just not as mercenary - feeding, clothing and housing with sufficient contingency funds to protect from adversity are my priorities for my family are my number one priorities not whether by putting us through years of undesriable living conditions could have made us a few quid....

At the end of the day everyone is here for the same reason, that being to gain advice whether it be about mortgages, savings, debts etc. People are always going to have different views on subjects.

Everyone should just give their advice/opinions in a civilised manner and let the OP choose whats best for them. When arguments break out over the internet, it doesnt do anyone any good.

I'm in area of extreme housing shortage she basically accused me of lying about the rental situation where multiple couples live in shared houses/flats because housing so unaffordable - Guy_Montag knows me and my area and helped wade in to justify me as not a fantasist.... but it's not nice being accused of being a liar because my data doesn't fit her view that there's an oversupply of cheap rentals with great landlords fighting over tenants....

I wouldn't say abusive per se, more undermining, insidiously maniuplative, and catty. The woman puts greed and money above all else, it's sad that tenure, other peoples accommodation needs and homes are just figures on a accountancy book to her and the constant need to justify that stance and view is really tedious. I'm not arguing about house price levels - just justifying my decision to try and make the best life for us regardless of economic factors we can't control....

Why does she have a reputation then? There's quite a few of us now that has noticed it.

I dont think anyone is sad enough to go through every one of her 900 odd posts looking for abusive, sarcastic behaviour, just to suit you.

    Sorry but that is sad.

It also doesn't take into account deleted threads and posts, of which there have been many.

Tell you what, how do you build a 'nasty' reputation for yourself without actually being nasty?

The fact more than 1 member has recognised it, it does hold water ;)
