Goodbye BG Collective Fix Feb 2017

I expected a bit more in the latest email about the collective fix i.e at least if they had one guaranteed or not
I'm hoping they have and holding out to see what comes this coming wednesday0 -
Well I've been holding off awaiting the outcome of the various collectives which go to auction this week, but won't have outcomes until around the 28th Feb, but with all the movement over the last week I've made the application to Iresa. At £100 a year cheaper than the next best at the moment for me and no exit fee, plus it takes 28 days to start the supply anyway, it seemed like the best choice at the moment.
If the other collectives come out any better then I can just swap again with no cost I guess. Just wondering if it will be another "Extra Energy" scenario as I expect they will be, or about to be, swamped with new customers given the movement in prices we are currently seeing.0 -
So my BG Collective Fix Feb 17 is about to finish like the others on this thread. The best 2 deals seem to be Iresa and Affect Energy,
The reviews on Iresa are not great (50% poor vs 20% great) in comparison to Affect Energy (90% great vs 6% poor) which is £34 more expensive.
Has anyone else moved to Affect Energy or uses them? It seems lots are mentioning the other suppliers.
I'm leaning towards them based on the feedback scores but conscious that they are new in the market.

If in Wales, Scot or parts of NW Eng, we hope to have a mega-cheap collective deal, launching next week. It's where a trusted intermediary (eg, us) uses its power to get suppliers to bid to offer a cheap deal. Anyone who gets this email, or is registered for Cheap Energy Club, will be eligible if it happe ns. When we say NW Eng it's because it's likely to include the 'Manweb' region - mainly N Wales but also parts of Cheshire, Merseyside & N Shropshire - its meters start '13'.
I'm just waiting to see what happens next week before making a decision on where to go next.
I read that on the mse site too and I am still holding off (hopeful!) ... my collective fix Feb finishing in next few weeks so will wait and see...0 -
lets see what tomorrow brings with the launch of another collective, if its not looking that good will be switching to Iresa, so either way I will be doing something tomorrow.0

in the MANWEB area (Merseyside and North Wales) and just received this MSE Cheap Energy Club e-mail
We've negotiated a super-cheap energy deal for your area
Your Big Switch 4 tariff is ending - see if you can save again with our new...
Big Winter Switch
You switched to an MSE British Gas tariff in our Big Switch Event 4, and your deal's nearly up. But don't worry - we're about to launch a new collective tariff to get you cheap rates for the next year.
We’ve negotiated a deal with a big name supplier so you can lock in cheap rates for the next 12 months. As your current tariff's almost finished, you won't be charged exit fees for switching to our new deal - plus, you'll get £30 dual fuel cashback (£15 single fuel).
Our Big Switch Event 6 starts tomorrow (Tuesday) lunchtime and runs until 8pm on Thursday 23 February. You'll need to act fast, though, as we've a limited number of cheap tariffs - there are just 15,000 dual fuel (or 30,000 elec-only) switches available - so they could go quickly.
To get the deal, you'll need to do a comparison via Cheap Energy Club - once it's available, you'll see it in your results. We'll also give you the full pros and cons of the tariff.
CLICK HERE TO DO A COMPARISON FROM TUESDAY LUNCHTIME
A collective is where a trusted intermediary (eg, us or a council) gets energy firms to bid to provide special tariffs. And with the weight of 11 million email recipients and 2.6 million Cheap Energy Club members, ours are seriously hot.
for reference from their week before e-mail
If you live on the border of one of the four regions where our collective energy switch tariff will be available (North Scotland, South Scotland, South Wales and Merseyside & North Wales), or if you're just not sure if you can get it, you can check your meter or bill for your meter point administration number (MPAN). If this starts with a 13, 17, 18 or 21, you'll be eligible to get our collective tariffs.0 -

Had an email from Mail Finance this morning:
As a member of the Mail Finance Energy Switch Club, we would like to let you know that TOMORROW is the day we announce the winner of our winter switching campaign.
Although we cannot release any specific details just yet, we can tell you that the winning 1-year fixed deal is from a leading Big 6 supplier, with a great customer service record.
We also have secured a 2-year fixed deal from a smaller supplier which beats any other long fixed tariff available in the market*.
You don’t need to do anything today, we just wanted to ensure you were the first to know, so you can gain access to some fantastic savings on your energy bill.
Look out for our email tomorrow, and don’t forget to switch and save on your energy bills this year!

Would love to know the prices of this new collective, despite not being able to access it, just for interest and potential judgement of the others coming out in the coming weeks.0
