on 3rd January 2014, we were at Charlotte Airport America waiting for our US Airways flight back to Heathrow, but due to our plane striking another plane while taxing onto our gate, we were delayed by 9 hrs as they had to wait for another aircraft and crew. On our return we sent an email to US Airways telling them of our upset and inconvenience and they responded with an email advising us that they have given us $300 voucher for each passenger as compensation, valid for 1 year.
Do we have to accept this voucher as we do not intend flying to America in the next 12 Months or do you consider this a fair gesture of compensation.0 -
Under Regulation 261/2004 you're not entitled to anything, so $300 in vouchers sounds like a good result to me.0

What can I do if my flights were in 2008 and I haven't got any documents backing up my claim.0

Read the FAQs very quickly as your 6 years will be up soon (if not already).0 -
just had a reply from KLM ref my denied boarding back in Oct,
they have offered me 300 euros cash each or 500 euros e voucher each, I have asked if the evoucher has any catches as that is appealing.
anyone have any opinions
An update, I accepted the evoucher from KLM and the only hassle using it was not being able to use it online, an 0871 number should have been involved but I asked on facebook and KLM rang me , I booked the flight I could see online and at the price I could see0 -
So much going on one way and another I've put off claiming for ages but this week I submitted TWO claims using the template letter.
One for AA and one for Delta both come under the less than three hours at connection point but over six hours at destination (case cited in claims) scenario.
American replied on the 10th telling me all about their merger with USAir and almost as an afterthought told me my feedback was important to them and I'd be contacted shortly.
I used the KLM link for Delta -reply last night tells me
Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve reservation as we cannot access information in our system anymore.. Therefore I would be grateful if you could provide us with the following details:
-proof of travel
-ticket bought
Hopefully this simply means they cannot access OLD reservations not all reservations. I replied with a copy of the confirmation/eticket from Orbitz (most of which like ticket number and locator was in the original email I sent) and suggested they check my Delta frequent flyer account for proof I flew as they awarded miles for the journey.
Possibly they couldn't find me because they spelt my name wrong on the email - wouldn't be so bad but it's only four letters long !!!!
Have we ever found a UK non PO box number for Delta or was the French address the only option for snail mail/NBA ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
