I'm on O2 (have been for years) with an Orchid routing almost every call via 18185 etc. Never had a problem with O2 - I regard them as the good guys!0

Hi,
Has anyone got a workable link to the latest software to help programme the Orchid v4? The ones I could find in this thread didn't work.
Thanks,0 -
Hi,
Has anyone got a workable link to the latest software to help programme the Orchid v4? The ones I could find in this thread didn't work.
Thanks,
I've just done a Google search for Kevin Lawry's spreadsheet, and the links seem to be broken.
I've got a copy of Auto_Routing_Table_v1_9.xls If that's what you're after, I could email you a copy if you care to send me a private message containing a valid email address.Cheers,

It might suit those who always want to route particular destinations in the same way. But without time of day support, it's no use whatsoever to me. I get free evening and weekend calls from BT so need to route these via BT but weekday daytime calls via 18866 etc. This box can't do that.Cheers,

Biggest problem is that is does not manage time - so routing off-peak inclusive calls over the original network does not look possible. Nor does it translate numbers ( I route all 118 numbers to a specific number for free directory enquiries ).
Nor does it bar numbers ( premium rate ) - although this might be possible by prefixing them with an invalid number.
As it would have to be programmed manually I would say it is probably OK for the simple cases - perhaps just prefixing international and mobile calls.
Does it forget the programming if unplugged?

The dwindling band of Orchid users should remember to reset the dialler’s internal clock to BST early tomorrow morning (or at some other more convenient time).
Resetting the clock from the attached phone can be done by a sequence of keystrokes, as follows:
* * # 0 0 0 0 *
hhmm
DOW
ddmmyy
* 2
(this sequence is shown on five lines to improve legibility – when setting the time the entire sequence is entered without breaks), where
hhmm is four digits representing the current time in 24-hour format
DOW (day of week) is one digit representing the current day (Monday = 1, Sunday = 7)
ddmmyy is six digits representing the current date
For example, to set the clock at 3pm on Easter Sunday, key in
* * # 0 0 0 0 *
1500
7
310313
* 2
and hang up.0 -
Hi,
I bought one of these diallers a few years ago and have never used it. It looks like I may need to use it soon. I believe the software for it is now useless, but you can still program it manually. Does anyone here have a list of codes they could give me to do this, please?0 -

Easiest way is to program it with Kevin's spreadsheet and a modem. Otherwise you can use the spreadsheet to generate the codes and input them manually.
As the links to Kevin's spreadsheet do not appear to be working I've put a copy up at http://www.thesidings.co.uk/dialer/Auto_Routing_Table_v1_9.xls
Please note I do NOT support this so can not answer any questions regarding it, please read earlier messages in this thread to see how to use it.0
