Congratulation. It was worth the effort.

Debit card details aren't needed for credit scoring.

You should (generally) only hand over your debit card details if you're paying for something.
  • I also got a refund, called and recevied the form
they wait 30 days to ensure you don't actually take out a loan by monitoring your credit file
  • However..
I have been unsuccessful getting a refund of Green Leaf Finance tough,(through PLFinder)
They are sneaky, they say they need you card details as a security check and that they won't take any money until a loan is taken out, or up to 45 days later
then as soon as you put in the card details
    Boooooom 49.99 comes off
Bank (Halifax) won't refund and the address on the link under Green Leaf Finance doesn't exist - I sent a recorded delivery letter and it was returned to me today

Raise a complaint form with the FOS

No need to go round in circles, I'm sure FOS have a pile of complaints against these scamsters. Include everything you have done so far as attachments.

I have had £69.99 deducted from my current account by MYLoan, despite their website turning out to be called 'Honey Bee'. Whenever I ring them I GET NO ANSWER. Despite not having taken out a loan from these people. I was browsing loans on the internet to see what was available and there IS NO WAY I ever sign Terms and Conditions whithout reading. THEY ARE THIEVES! I intend to report them to television consumer programmes such as watchDog and Rip-Off Britain etc. and have them exposed for the horrible company they are.

So how did they get your card details then ?

Magic them out of thin air maybe ?

You must have entered your card details on a site to have the money taken out of your account.

If you want a loan go to reputable lenders.
