No call! Cant say im surprised though.

I think they've tapped in some numbers into their casio calculators and realised it'd be cheaper to give us free broadband till the end of the contracts. Rather than give us any 'offers'

As sad as this may seem, I have been entertaining myself with the Orange facebook page, reading the numerous complaints, it re-affirms we are not alone.

Such is the negative PR on this page, they now seem to have removed the ability to make a comment!.................Unless of course they have 'blocked' me from doing so.

All I had posted was the article on Olaf Swantee 'Boss ashamed of the way customers were treated'..........followed up by my question, was he now proud of his decision to withdraw free broadband............not that bad is it?

    Maybe I hit a raw nerve:eek:

Yes Eva49, I "liked" that post & notice it had gone. I have just posted on there & guess that will disappear off too. Just to say that they were guilty of mis-selling to their mobile customers, breach of contract, sharp practice etc etc & look forward to them being held accountable. Well, it's not like I've made it up!?

I think that they look at the page periodically as opposed to closely monitoring it. Guess that's my fate too, boo hoo!!! ;)

So all quiet ..... anyone had a call from secret squirrels ?

I was promised a call from them Saturday 29th, sent an email to exec team last Friday who confirmed I should have been one of first to be contacted but I was definately on list.

I pointed out that I made my complaint on 21st August and it was already over 5 weeks then ( 6 tomorrow ) so they better pull their fingers out.

    Still no call .....

I'm in the same situation as many people. Had "free" broadband for a long time since initial offer. After getting an Ofcom complaint reference I contacted the executive team last Monday. Guy I spoke to told me Orange had made a mess of this and they had put together a special team to deal with individual complaints. I was told I would be called back with an offer by this Monday at the latest. Was actually called today and the offer was to match my current BT line & call package deal till March when my current mobile contract ends. After that it would be £27 per month (£14 for line rental and £13 for anytime call package). I'm 9 months into a 12 month line rental pre-pay deal and was told as long as I sent them proof they would compensate me for this. Will mull over and decide if I go ahead on Thursday when the guy who made the offer calls me back. As it stands I could swap to Sky and would basically pay the same for the same line/calls & internet package. I have been very unimpressed by the way this has been handled by Orange so need to think carefully about staying with them as they send me what was a threatening letter and the amount of time I've had to spend getting anything remotely resembling customer service. What's made this worse in my case is that I'm in what they jokingly call an "off-grid" exchange area (rural) so have to pay more than the standard rate for my replacement package. The crazy fact is that BT run the exchange and will have to do nothing if I decide to transfer line rental to Orange but will get paid more for delivering the same services. I also found out that the people you had to call on the number on the letter were not Orange people but had been sub-contracted to deal specifically with this issue and they were useless, with no authority to do anything. All in all very poor.

Axomatic, it seems you where called back quite quickly when others have been waiting weeks?.

Does this mean the longer your mobile contract expires the longer you are waiting for a call back. I am only two months into a new 2 year deal with "free broadband" !

Where do they get £27 from? Anytime call package is £10 + £13.50 on their website. Perhaps they're assuming at the end of your mobile contract you will not renew with them, but then that is an extra £5 so £28.50. Whoopie doo, a £1.50 discount.

It makes my £5.11 for BB + 2nd Line giving anytime calls + 100 international destinations very good value.

So no calls, no communication, no progress, nothing.

I think we are all just being ignored, with the occasional game thrown in like calls soon and special teams. Over 5 weeks now and nothing. In breech of their own complaints process, no one for us to talk to or complain to who can help us.

Quite incredible that a company can get way with this type of behavior.

Unless watchdog and other media get really involved I can see we will continue to be frozen out and bullied and ignored by EE.

I cant see any other course of action now except to do what I am doing later this week, buy out my mobile contract and go to small claims to recover the loss.

All EE have shown and proved in the last 5 weeks is that they are a bunch of liars, cheats, miss sellers, and bullies. They have also demonstrated they have the worst customer service in the EU, bar none.
