Incredible how Orange have mishandled the free broadband issue.

I doubt it's over yet. There are still a few weeks to go. As painful as it is to wait (and wanting to resolve this!!!) I still have reservations that Orange will actually disconnect anyone.

It may well have been a business decision to remove free broadband and perhaps they have already been successful with many switching land lines without fuss.

However, those remaining customers who are refusing to switch, Orange can easily just check our mobile contracts and continue our free broadband until the end of that contract. It's not difficult.

Then, Orange will not be in breach of contract. The trouble is all the games and waiting to see what happens! The first expected cut off date is the end of October, still 4 weeks away.

Hopefully a full Watchdog investigation showing on the BBC (fingers crossed) will force Oranges hand to finally end this nonsense! :(

and there are some that have had no letter, no email, no text...nothing to say anything different.

my bt line rental saver is up in a couple of days and i was hoping to find out either way but i might just pay for it as i've done for years and see if orange actually attempts to cut me off.

The exec office unless you speak to a manager will tell you any old b0110cks(excuse my french hahahha) to get you off the phone. I spoke to somebody at some point over the last 7 days (very cryptic) and every statement that came out of their mouth was clearly a lie as nothing has been or will be played out like they stated.

Again calls are being made, its taking time to go through, the team will discuss miss-selling and mobile issues, you'll get a call at some point, your broadband wont be cancelled, we have no time scale..........

I may's well of recorded (which i may have done) the first conversation i had with the exec office and rather than call them up just keep playing it to myself again every few days.

I think they are monitoring the forums, know who we are, and will not be calling us back.

Look forward to Watchdog on Wed, given it was a year to the date approx since the last Orange "feature" on roaming - where Orange had the most complaints to Watchdog about Orange & roaming charges...
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

52297 views, 55 pages and 1093 posts here, other net noise elsewhere, watchdog involvement, threats of court action sent to EE - and nothing has happened. You couldn't write the script, its to unbelievable.

EE a company that wont listen to complaints or customers.

I totally agree moon777, the 'special team' were supposed to be calling me back this pm for my considered answer to their 'offer'.......nothing!

As said earlier I am sure they don't know where to turn or how to get out of the boiling cauldron they have created.

For me, the game is over, I have had quite enough of this nonsense and I see no other route other than small claims.

Thank you for your email addressed to the Orange Executive Office.

We appreciate the time you have taken to write to us, however in order to resolve any issues you have, you would be required to contact our Customer Service team. Our Customer Service team is equipped to deal with all issues relating to Orange products and services. Should you be unhappy with the response you have the right to make a request for your complaint to be escalated to a Team Manager and then if still unresolved to the relevant Operations Manager. For details of our complaints procedure please see the Orange Code of Practice for Consumer Affairs, a copy of which can be found online using the following link.

    orange.co.uk/codesofpractice

Please contact Orange Broadband on 07973 100150 (150 from an Orange mobile phone) or email customer-service@uk.orange.com, whereby a member of staff will be happy to assist you and if necessary will escalate your issue to a Manager.

Whilst we appreciate the above is not the response you had hoped for, the Executive Office is responsible for a variety of work practices and as such is not necessarily the quickest route to resolve an issue. Please be assured that resolving any complaint or issue as quickly as possible is our primary concern.

    Regards

    Orange Executive Office

This looks familiar (yawn). It's the Orange runaround.

I'm still waiting for the CS to respond to my email sent late August, which followed their own complaints procedure perfectly and stated my requirements as per their procedure.

Whereas one of my emails to exec was forwarded to the special ones, another email to exec did result in a call to me - the usual line rental or go away deal.

Like you say the great EE runaround.
  • Just tested by BB speed - 1.9mb/s !!!! - and I live in a city

Orange email out - 'We're currently working on improving the site, so you might not be able to access all our services at the moment'

    Is all this deliberate?

Date of cutting off my BB changed to 26th November! This is a total disaster. What are they playing at?

And they want us to pay for that sort of service - I think not
