... although don't get too excited.

    Learn Together reward cheques (b/c 1191) SEL *65p - scans at 1p

Found in the kids creative section - a little green cheque book with a purple title bar and with a lion, rabbit and giraffe cartoon characters. Party bag fillers??
  • Awww sending huge hugs to Blondynurse and 3dogs, you poor things, the loss of a pet is horrible :( My parents dog died a year and a half ago, and we still all miss him so much, it feels so strange going to visit and he isn't there :( They become such a part of the family.

Celebrate I laughed about the story about your son going on the school trip and seeing a Tesco !

My 9 year old daughter came in from school the other day and I had some Tesco bags lying on my bed and she started looking through them all and said 'Are these all glitches Mum ?'

  • 3dogs and blondy nurse, really sorry to hear about your loved hounds.....dogs sure do have a way of weedlin their way into people affections and its sad to see them go. Take solace from that fact non of us get out of this life alive and you gave them wonderful lives and enjoyed many good times together. (((((((hugs)))))))))

Beki88.....I'm currently looking for a new camera and have scanned and read reviews on dozens. Whats your price range and planned use for it and I may be able to offer a suggestion or two. I don't think using old lenses is a good idea by the way.....they are old technology, clumsy and you'll compromise your choice of camera to fit an old outdated lens IMO.

last yr i got a few bits in the boots 90% sale lol
think these days the vultures have already swept the 75%, we'll be lucky if there's even carp left for the 90% sale
I wish people would calm down and play the waiting game!!!

    I propose a new motion........................
that we resist buying T's reduced clip strip and post xmas stock UNTIL it's 1p

(I saw candy canes today in T's and all i could think of was they are not worth 20p, i'll wait for them to go to 1p lol!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Im so focused on bargains I find it really difficult to do my grocery shop and buy things I need at full price! Its weird how this changes the way you view things! After buying a few lindt egg packets, i went to put them with my 10p aero trees from sainsburys and felt ripped off that I had paid 10p for it compared to the eggs:rotfl:.

My main aim with bargains (as well as bargains for my family) is to look out for bits and bobs that we can use at school for little prizes etc for the Fundraising Summer and Christmas fair. If we are charging 20p for a go on a lucky dip, I have to wait till things are 10p or 15p, to make it worth the effort of buying and wrapping!:money:

No, you didn't!! You didn't tell us what you got the DTD on!:rotfl::D

You are right I didn't. I will do though, tomorrow. I have a good idea where there will be another one but a local gent who lurks on here is likely to snaffle it before I get there in the afternoon if I put it on here! :D

I left work a couple of hours early yesterday in the hope that there would be some bargains left in Boots. The shelves had almost been stripped bare by the time I arrived at 3pm. I managed to find a few bits and pieces and also got some of the vitamins and shots. The SA scanned my bargains, picked the vitamins out of the bottom of my basket and left all the shots in the basket until last. She then said to me that the shots shouldn't have been on the shelf as they are reducing the cost of other shopping and that she wasn't going to sell them to me. She wouldn't give in, even though I acted all innocent and told her about the sign saying they were free with other vitamin purchases. In the end I asked her to cancel my vitamin transactions but she messed the till up and had to start the whole transaction again. I wasn't too bothered though as I had enough vitamins for the next 18 months.

I had a great bargain though in M&S. There was only a small rail of reduced items in the ladies department and the lady before me had picked up a gorgeous Per Una Speziale jacket. She kept looking at it and holding it against her to see if it would fit and eventually she decided against it so put it back on the rail. I asked her to pass it to me and saw that the original price had been £110 and it was reduced to £39. I took it to the till and asked them to scan it to see if that was the final reduction and amazingly it was only £12 so I obviously bought it. It's not often I get such a good bargain so I was really pleased with myself.

It's some new lenses he is after but I don't understand any of the terms or anything at all really :o His basic lens I think he said 18-35 or 55 maybe? has broke it's just about usable but when you focus or something it clicks and you have to catch it on the click... and so he is looking for something to do with that, but then he mentioned an 18-135 and I zoned out...so I basically have zero idea I just let him get on with it! If he isn't too drunk on returning home I will ask him and drop you a PM if ok?

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
