I have changed them back to Tesco premium dry complet food which we buy in 17kg bags (one bag does the 2 dogs for 2 weeks or longer if they have some pasta or rice dinners)and they are very shiny, happy and healthy on that.I will check the price and add it later but its not expensive at all.
The 17KG bag of Tesco premium dry complete is £11.98.We also use the food as training treats so dont spend extra on that.
Shelovestobuystuff, just using your post to demonstrate, not telling you what you should be feeding your dogs
See now this is where you need to price food PER MEAL
17kg (amended to 15kg in subsequent posts) going by the above figures will last one dog one month, so for three months feed £35.94 - plus the cost of the 3 separate trips to buy it.
Arden Grange 15kg bag, lasts my medium sized dog (English cocker) 3 months - maybe a bit more and costs £28 and just one trip to collect it.
Cheap is not always cheap, you need to work out the cost per meal no matter what you feed0 -

Complete dog food (and some other pet food aswell) straight from the factory.
Amazing value, no crap ingredients, just in plain bags with basic labels- Some of the food is EXACTLY the same as famous brands because they are also made by them!0 -

£6.99 for 15kg.
I also feed raw meat tripe/chicken/beef etc along with cooked veg.
Its very rare for my dogs to have tummy upsets and as for condition....well my dogs are winning at championship shows and my stud dogs are in demand within my breed.
Pedigree chum sponser me but have to be honest I don't feed anything of theirs except puppy food as I find it goes straight through my dogs! <yuck>
Whats is the food called you buy and who sells it please?I would like to try my dogs on it.:D"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Hi there
Just wondered what dry food you feed your dog/dogs on??? I have 4 as from the other day and am looking to keep costs down without scrimping on goodness. I currently feed them on supadog but its getting expensive, and my collie seems to be putting on a bit of weight.
Let us know!

I use Costco's own "Kirkland" brand - but they also do one called "Irish Rover" that seems to have VERY few addatives as well. My dog seems to thrive on the Kirkland though, again few if any addatives.
If the collie is getting "porky" then cut down on her food - if she's still hungry then bulk it out with boiled rice. Or ofcourse increase her exerciseMy BC/GSD cross has a tendency to get porky if I don't get the balance just right so it's just a matter of trial and error I think

We use a blend of Morrisons own vlaue dog biscuits (a small cup with each meal) and half a tin of whatever dog food is currently on offer (At the moment she is getting pedigree) twice a day (morning and evening). However, she often recieves table scraps and if this is the case, it is in place of the dog meat and biscuits are still given. (Cuts down on the amount of dog meat we have to buy)

Ours is currently on Wagg but was previously enjoying the Bakers (where you can add water to make a lovely gravy). Problem with both these is the amount of colourants used which I am sure is making her a bit hyper. When it runs out am going to switch back to JWB - not cheap but much better for her I think.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0
