Complaint Letter Successes

  • Just complain... complain.... complain .... complain .... about virtually everything and anything wrong with products and services especially if they have freefone numbers.

use terms like 'disappointed', 'let down', 'inferior'.... tell them you are a member of the choir, active at the local church, on the council, a member of a consumer website with thousands of members, in the rotary club, whatever it is - if there's people in your sphere of influence, they will do everything they can to pacify you so you dont spread bad news about their product or services.

take up offers on supermarket products you dont like to get them replaced or your money back.... copmplain like Hell if things arent right with electric companies, telephone, broadband, mobile phones, clothes, anything!

Best so far was Tesco insurance. i switched to get a £50 voucher for the car insurance. It didnt arive so I telephoned to complain that they hadnt sent it. Got talking to a lovely girl and we had one or two interests together. We chatted for 45 minutes and she said she would chase it up. Next day, a replacement came with a handwritten note saying shed added another £20 one for the inconvenience. Then 3 days later, the original one turned up - they told me to keep them all!!

So for switching my insurance from Post Office to Tesco, I got £120 in Tesco vouchers. Not bad and it was even a freephone number.

Complain like Hell - not only will it help their negative comment figures to plummet so much they'll pull their socks up in the future, but you will also get some money back and replacement products.

If you don't, then you have clearly got toomuch money already!

Passitivity does not work - fight back and treat the multinationals a lesson!!

No - but it should be moved to another board
    Hi, all

I;m a newbie here! I filled in a form to take up this offer with sainsburys for life insurance on the 27th jan 08. I was very shocked to find out that Sainsburys needed to find out further information on our health and could not pursue the online enquiry. My hubby and I are lucky to have excellent health.

It is now over 24 days since I attempted to do this, the docs have not been asked to complete any forms in. The very fact that I submitted all our details including bank details for the direct debit is worrying me. We've not had any correspondence from Sainsburys at all.

Not knowing which way to pursue this, I would be very grateful for any advice on how to complain.

    Thanks in advance

Hi, just phoned the number above and was absoutely disappointed with the level of service they provided, I found the advisor very patronising when I informed him, that our personal details inc banking details for a direct debit was placed in the online enquiry, he said he would ask his manager to call me some day in the next few weeks, even though I informed him, that I am on holiday this week!

Is there anyway of complaining higher up as he would not give me any complaint addresses etc

    Thanks again:mad:

Bought two cans of spray tan by L'Oreal in Boots as they were on BOGOF and I am super pale. Really chuffed with the results, and much cheaper than having it done at a salon. But, the second time I used it, it got jammed and wouldn't dispense anymore, even after rinsing the lid out. Same happened with the second one, so I emailed L'Oreal, who mailed straight back asking for the batch numbers, where I'd bought them and my home address. That was today, so will let you know how I get on.

:T Letter in the post from L'Oreal yesterday with £21 in vouchers. Really pleased with the response, especially as it wasn't a complaint, per se, more a "how do I get a refund" query.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Complained about local franchised Mcds and had a letter of apology and got 2 value meals and a happy meal voucher in the post today. They are lying toads though, they claim the machine broke down and was out of action for a day, but I know someone who visited the "restaurant" 20 minutes after us and they had no issues with machinery then!
