    Good evening

So many people poorly - hugs to all
I'm just home from w*** having escaped early today. Well I've emailed everything home so I can fininsh off over the weekend. Looking forward to sorting everything out having had the CH boiler moved from downstairs to upstairs and new valve on all ad so every room is upsde down. should be worth it though if the bills are less next winter!

Our family diet has been dreadful this week as I've no kitchen. Nno water one day, no gas the next and the power blew last night. Thank godness for warmer weather.

Monday - toast, so chaotic didn't get to do anything else
    Tuesday - fish and chips
    Wednesday - Asda pizza
    Thursday - chinese
    Tonight - Budgens Indian takeaway.
Saturday - eating out for a treat

I had planned a bit with things in the freezer but I've had no means to prepare/cook/wash up so
best made plans and all that.

OH is fixing something up temp so we can eat for the next 6 weeks without going broke or ill. All worth it in the end.

My son has made solar shower from black plastic because I complained when the power as off. It's hung on the tree in the sun. I jokingly said if the water got hot enough I'd strip off and use it:eek: The water has got up to 42 degrees in half a day. How hot is the water from a shower:confused: And it might be sunny all day tomorrow:eek: :o
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

    Hurray it's Friday! :j
The end of a grim week for me. I only w***ed 2 days this week but they were quite stressful. I have lots of very young children to teach at the moment (due to management decisions) and it's been exhausting. A succession of bad news on Wednesday didn't help but as they say' always look on the bright side of life'.
Tonight I'm going over the road to a girl's night (lots of food and wine) at one of my neighbour's, so DH is getting his and the kid's tea from the chippy.

Oh, my other bit of news is that yesterday at playtime a rather large seagull flew over and did a really big c*** on my shoulder! The other staff were crying with laughter and told me it was lucky so I've got 3 lucky dips on tomorrow's lottery. It could have been worse...it could have landed on my head! See I told you...'always look on the bright side of life'
    Have a good evening.

    Hello again

Me too dlb I also signed up for the Milkman man, :j I will see how it goes and then start with the veggie box! I asked if he'd been to yours yet, he said you was next! lol - you know what I would do ref the bank charges, but its whether or not to take that risk.

Been to buy some bug spray for some of my plants, we seem to be un-indated with a nest of green flies everywhere! Im itching just thinking about them.

    Off to do dinner now.
    Bye for now

Well no sign of a nest so far, house isn't buzzing during day that I can hear (thanks for the info tim) but 3 more in today with windows and doors closed, so it's somewhere they are getting in. Scares me as my mate ended up with a nest in a cupboard she didn't use. Allergy being main concern, especially not knowing about the kids. On closer inspection of one, it may be bees, I am useless with bees etc, I need to find a bug expert and find out what they are, they are a more dark yellow than usualy wasps I have seen. Oh yuk making me shudder thinking about it.

Haven't had much chance to catch up with the thread. Been busy pulling kitchen apart (which now needs putting back together :( ) Hope evryones ok. That meat sounds cheap PP.

Was supposed to be going to a friends wedding tonight but don't feel up to it, still coughing what must be 3/4 weeks on, antibiotics finished and no better. GP said nothing more can do with that but has also put me on Xenical to help with the weight loss. I need to call them as it says to ring for details on what to eat and not to eat. Ewwww just read warnings, says can cause excess wind passing, oh heck!
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening All

(((hugs))) if you need/want one. I think I'll have one as feeling really fed up and angry at the moment, think must be pmt (cycle mucked up at the moment) so think will have an early night to give the family a break.

Really wanted to be organised today so could have a nice weekend but because of the way I feel have done nothing bar 1 load of washing! Did go to town this morning and what with some returns and some vouchers from my birthday did manage to treat myself to some new clothes and a summer bag - also got some crocs but too cold to wear them at the moment.

DD is at a birthday sleepover tonight and DS has a birthday party tomorrow - builder coming tomorrow so will try and hide myself away in the office and do some bookwork that has been put off for ages. Also have loads of filing that needs doing, I know if I make some headway with that I will feel loads better.

Anyway best get off now and think will go to my bedroom before I bite someones head off (again).

    Catch you later.

Hope everyone who has been feeling down feels better now that it's the weekend. (((hugs to everyone))).

Just a quick post - I've emails to answer and a survey to do (apparently £5 for a forty minute one which is better than the so-called fifteen minute one I did yesterday for .50p which took longer because it wouldn't click on to the next page properly!

I am VERY disappointed because I waited for my usual Martin-fix at lunchtime; saved my sandwich specially to have lunch with him and he was only on Radio Two for about five minutes! Still, great advice as usual about all the complaints about British Gas but he's usually on for longer. Hopefully, he's busy finding more moneysavers for the rest of us!:money: :money:

Dinner tonight was lovely - Cajun Chicken turned out really well but DH did not like the couscous - he looked at it very suspiciously as I was dishing up! I said 'give it a chance!' and he did, and didn't like it - I did so I'll have to find a way of disguising it in the future!;) ;):D:D

Nite Rider - I meant to say earlier - congrats on your Premium Bond wins - that's three winners this week on our thread. Well done!:T :T

Catowen - I do hope you're feeling more up than down now.:A :A

Crazy - so glad you've been in touch with your dad! Good luck!:A :A

Well, I've probably forgotten someone. I have taken to writing a list when I read through the posts now because I can't always remember who said what.

I wonder if Math has got his ASBO yet?

Have a lovely Friday evening with no nightmares, a good night's sleep for all

Just popped in to say I hope you're feeling better, catowen ((((hugs)))

By the way, I loved what Shez said to cheer you up. Shez is one of those people who has a natural gift for making people smile :)

I got a parcel through today from Bravissimo - a couple of tops I bought in the sale. One of them was fab, looks gorgeous and is really comfy (Edited to say: it's this one, in Raspberry :D). The other is a perfect fit but faulty  it's this one but on mine, the black mesh is attached off-centre to the cream bit underneath, so it looks crap  so will be returning it and see if it is second time lucky. I've been looking for a nice top, as I have a lovely black evening skirt and nothing nice to wear with it.

    Anyway...

See you all tomorrow peeps

Edited again to say: Just saw that item on the news about the man from North London who cut part of his dog's ears off to make him look "harder":mad::mad::mad: What would possess anybody to do this to such a gorgeous dog (or any other dog for that matter?):mad::mad::mad:

(((Hugs))) to Kyle, no-one ever thinks their life is interesting enough, (well very few anyway and don't you find they tend to be the ones with the really boring lives?) ;)
(((Hugs))) also to Rage in Eden, I'm sorry you were upset.

Not sure why but most people seem to be a little down or ill or both at the moment, it will pass though, sure as eggs is eggs icon7.gif

I had a new visitor today. Anyone got any idea what sort of parrot this is? (if it is a parrot at all) I've no idea. It's about the size of a kestrel.

    croppedparrotqk8.png

it was fairly tame, thought not enough to let itself get captured, so I'm sure it is someone's pet. Can anyone suggest any organisations I could tell about it? I sure someone somewhere must be missing it. icon9.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
