    Hi again

Not many changes to be made to the chart this week, and sadly, only 3.5 lbs total weight loss, but well done to Suggs who is our Slimmer of the Week again! :T

MissMP - we really are getting so thin on the ground at the moment that it feels bad to post and leave anyone out! Did you go cold turkey to give up eating chocolate, or did you just go off it - shock, horror!?

It has gone very quiet on this forum - I might have to start posting intead of just reading:o

LL I shocked myself into not eating chocolate. I just think of flies wings and spiders legs when I wanted to eat it. Now I never fancy it at all:D
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
Read the sticky on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board.

  • Wish I could shock myself into not eating chocolate! Unfortunately not much shocks me!
Am craving a mince pie as OH is munching one downstairs so am going to bed with a can of diet coke instead - must have at least 1 good day this week!
    Night all -see you tomorrow.
  • it's no good lois I can't ignore it. I'm only decieving myself in the end. Last week I put on 3lb which made my total loss 5 1/2 then I lost 1 1/2 this week so my total is actually now 7lbs. I wish it was 9lbs though. I am going to be extra careful this week consultant. I won't eat that terry's chocolate orange thats in my fridge.
    HOW MUCH ?
  • hope you enjoy the mediterranean pasta stevie, it's yummy!

Well done to everyone who lost especially Suggs - what an achievement! I'm not weighing at the mo because I'm struggling to get to the gym. I'm so busy at work it's not true and all i seem to want to do is sleep - I was in bed before 2100 virtually every day last week. OH dragged me out of bed last night when I went at 2000 though - he said it was too early and I'd make myself ill if i slept that long. So started again on day 1 yesterday and had a fairly good day. Used up my syns on chocolate fingers but stayed within the limits. It's so easy to just say 'the hell with it' this time of year, but as consultant said, that 1/2 stone just insn't worth it. And thanks for pointing that out Consultant - I'll think of that every time i reach for the mince pies!
  • Well done Suggs on getting SOTW again!

All I can tell you with regards to the Starbucks is that a Grande size steamed whole-fat milk comes out at 15 syns and the same size low-fat is 12, while the Nonfat is only 8½. Which one do they use for the skinny? I hope it's Nonfat!

Incidentally, you're right it is 15 syns a day we have as a maximum, and it's the same for men as womeen!

Lois, I like the new avatar. Is it a special for Christmas?

Alyssa I suggest you put the choccy orange in the freezer, it's less likely to call to you of an evening!

MissMP , sadly not much shocks me with regard to food. I wish my imagination was good enough to frighten myself off chocolate.

Enjoy your trip to France Rachel. Never mind the food, it's that 'wine-with-everything' culture that'll cause you problems, lol.

KatiePC, I'm glad my words are helping. Weight goes on so quickly but takes ages to come off, it's not worth it.

I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Hi all

I want to calorie count (about 1,250 per day) and slowly lose about 25 pounds but I wondered if you had any ideas for a "kick start" to a diet, something I could follow for a few days to boost my weight loss and encourage me to stick to my calorie counting.

Ideally I want to get myself under 10 stone pretty quickly and then gradually lose the rest because I know the quicker you lose it the easier it is to pile it back on!

Reading your experiences here has been really encouraging and I'm in a bit of a diet slump at the moment so I hope you can help me.

    Thanks again

    ;)

Hi Consultant - I was experimenting and added this picture, then changed my mind and couldn't find the original picture (it must be on the other PC) so ended up with one I nicked from Sainsbury's!!
