Mine is credited too, finally.
Time to close my Online Saver, as I have opened Esaver Issue 2.

Yes Maggie, I think that my interest is around £200 less than expected. Difficult to check though as the balance has been up and down frequently over the year.0

Will Santander have much money left after everyone has applied to transfer out i wonder...............:D
Useless bunch.I trusted Bradford and Bingley, and Alliance and Leicester but it really was a very bad move ,and now their names, and that of Abbey, have been tarnished for ever.0 -

I'm also seeing a shortfall in the interest paid on an issue 5 account today.
I thought the interest rate was 3.15% until 2nd Aug 2010 and then went down to 1%, can anyone confirm ?0 -
[STRIKE]0.5%, not 1%[/STRIKE]HighVoltage wrote: »I thought the interest rate was 3.15% until 2nd Aug 2010 and then went down to 1%, can anyone confirm ?
EDIT: Actually, it appears the rate is tiered:
Balance <£25k 0.5%
25-50k 0.75%
50-250k 1%
>250k 1.5%

Finally received my interest about lunchtime and then transferred some cash to another bank (under £250). Summary shows it as having left A&L account but does not appear yet in new account (Barclays) even though it was "fast tracked". Is this because it's weekend?0

It's because it's now Santander and, according to the ukpayments site, it's max £300 by phone only. Will go by BACS not FP.0

I got so fed up the other week with A and L / Santandar that I tried to close all my savings accounts. Failed miserably. now just got £1 in each and am waiting for the Issue 5 interest. I have moved my current account to Lloyds Vantage with 4% interest on first £7,000, which is better than any deal A&L can offer anyway.
I am also worried as I have a 2 year bond maturing next week with Anglo Irish which will pay into my nominated account (A&L) and have had a letter from a company saying my account on a direct debit has changed cos of the move to santandar. I rang A&L and was told "dont worry your old account is still active." with their track record at the moment, whats the betting my Anglo Irish money gets lost?MSE is a religion and the Arms is its Temple:money:
