I did my first week of EE last week and am pleased to report my weigh in this morning showed I've lost 2 POUNDS!:j I am very pleased with this and will stick with EE this week.

I'm doing it at home because I am committed to a college course until November and won't be able to go to a group. But I may go to a different group in Nov. We'll see!

The week has been good and I've been doing several recipes from the SW mag - salmon burgers were great, so was Chicken Jambalaya and last night I did a wonderful Chili Con Carne and jacket potatoes. I have also done loads of homemade soups and these have been really tasty and hearty now the weather is cooler. :)

I'd still love to know how many syns are in Red Lambrusco (4%) and Lidl Greek Yoghurt please?

theres nothing coming up for them. do you have the nutritional info for the yog including the pot size and I can put it thru the syn calculator.
is there a Brand manufacturer who makes the lambrusco?

I checked Yeo Valley Organic Greek Style this morning (it has no added ingredients) and that came to 4 syns for 100g.

    WI week 4 - 11 st 5 lb GAINED 2 1/4 lbs :mad::eek:

 Well I am gutted. Especialy as I haven't really changed anything significantly or scoffed anything I shouldnt, no chocolates or naughty munchies, everything no or low fat, salad, fruit and veg, exercised, stayed positive and motivated.

Been eating Fruit and cholesterol lowering drink for breakfasts, salad for lunch, then low fat meals for dinner with lots of veg, fruit n fromage frais as a snack, lots of water and a little exercise.

Its really becoming a big issue problem for me now as I have had this trouble for past few years. I get to 11st 2lb and then it goes up not down. Its not psychological as I have really tried hard even more so this time. Went to the doctors 3 months ago, who told me to try WW (but I opted for SW), been back to same dr 3 times and weighed in over 3 months and lost, lost then STS when I was offered the 'diet pill' which I said no to (cos I dont see the point in them to be honest a lot of bowel trouble :o for 1lb extra loss not worth it (then what happens when you come off them?) ).
What the dr has not seen since seeing her about 6 weeks ago is the massive weight gain from 11st 2 to 12 stone then the losses back down to 11st 2. So if I go back to see dr this week all she will see is a gain of 3lb and probably think I have not been trying hard enough.

I am so :( and at the edge of giving up all the hard work as I have failed to break through the wall again and get into the 10 st band. I will try so so hard this week again for all it is worth.

    So fed up.

Sorry to moan. Have a good week everybody. Thanks.

Hi everyone :) I'm shamefacedly rejoining you all if that's OK. Not been doing to well, have been maintaining for the most part for ages and this week have put on 2lb. Thank you to Takeiteazy for prodding me back here and for all the support. Starting afresh today, clean slate.

Went to see a bloggy friend this weekend up in Yorkshire - we've been chatting about 2 years (met on the comp forum) and finally got to meet - it was fab but have got to share her pudding she made. Just some chopped up bananas topped with a tup of Quark that had 2 sachets of white chocolate options mixed into it. (4 syns?) It gave 7 of us a lovely portion and it tasted SO naughty for what...half a syn if that each? Really recommend it :) I said all it needed was some caramel or chocolate sauce drizzled over the top...mmmmmm, but not quite so healthy then ;)

  • Well I am well and truly going around in circles. The days I am good are just balanced out by the times I go out for dinner or am at a wedding or a party. I haven't really lost anything and am not sure whether to keep bothering :(

Well if you didnt bother surely you would be putting on weight if you are having so many "bad" days??

    xx
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

Very true. I just feel like I am paying my £5 a week and not really seeing anything happening. I know it is my fault, there is nothing wrong with the plan but I do not feel I can go to my brother's wedding and refuse to eat the pudding :)

Anyone else had a similar experience and managed to break the cycle?

The yo-yo happened to me a few weeks back. I've been on the plan for ten weeks, lost for the first three, then spent the next four putting on what I'd lost as I had a lot of meals/parties to go to, then lost again. If you can, try to make healthy choices when you're out and fill up before you go. Just don't give up entirely or you'll see the scales start to hate you like mine did! Good luck :)

  • Morning all

Well yesterday was a bit of a horror story! We got chinese :$ then I've spent the whole morning being ill. I can't eat onions and I haven't had a chinese since cutting them out. Looks like it's going to have to go on the increasing list of foods I can't eat :( So not only did I blow the plan on food that I actually didn't enjoy that much anyway, and will probably be punished for on WI day, I've also been punished all morning! Lesson learned lol

Will be going for a run today, my knees have just about recovered. I'm making soup for dinner tonight and have been critiquing them all based on sf levels! So instead of the haddock and sweetcorn one I wanted, I'll be having spicy butternut squash and carrot :)

B porridge heb +1/3 skim milk hea, banana
    L not sure yet
D spicy butternut squash and carrot soup

Hmmm, that's looking suspiciously green! I might make sure I have no meat for lunch and buy some small WM rolls. I so miss having bread with soup!
