Please stop this nonsense. It is stated on clearly that there is a 1.5% usage charge on all transactions with the FairFx Anywhere card.

As I keep telling you Donnie, I am talking about the Pound Sterling Currency Card. And for that card, the terms and conditions do not authorise these charges.

In fact I doubt that they do for the Anywhere card either. Would you care to post a copy of the terms you agreed for your Anywhere card?

Did you think that FairFx had no charges at all?

I thought it has no GBP purchase comission charges at all... just like my escape card.

    1.5% is entirely reasonable.

It would be reasonable if it were authorised.

Many use it to pay for RYANAIR flights and are happy to pay 1.5%

I am surprised they'd not prefer the escape card and pay 0%.

BTW, do you work for FairFX?

I got my FairFx Anywhere card for free.
You had to pay for the Escape card and to pay an annual fee of £4.99.

I pay 1.5% to fund my Anywhere card by CC(the most convenient method for me).
Escape charge 4% for the same. If I don't use the Escape card for three months I will be charged £1 per month after that.

If the Escape suits your usage, more power to you.

The Anywhere card suits my pattern of usage. Shame that you didn't understand the very simple terms.

1.5% on all transactions, not too difficult to understand. :)

Please, I am still waiting for a single reference to a Pound Sterling card that is not the Anywhere card.

Here is my link to the Anywhere Card: http://www.fairfx.com/publicity/read/381 Note the date: Tuesday 08 December 2009, 04:22pm

Where is the link to your other worldly 'Pound Sterling' card?

Chrisjj, have you been diagnosed with retardation?

Pounds Sterling on your account only refers to the currency in which your card is denominated. Nothing to do with the name of the card. Everyone's Anywhere card looks the same. it doesn't have 'Anywhere' written on the card.

The Pound Sterling denominated FairFx Anywhere card was introduced on the 08 of December 2009. There is no other card that they issue that is denominated in Pounds Sterling.

The terms and conditions are there for all to see. The 1.5% charge for all transactions is transparent and simple for all to understand.

Whereas Caxton takes their cut from the exchange rate.

Just admit that this is your mistake and move on. Surely you can't be that dumb??

The 1.5% charge is not mentioned in the terms and conditions I agreed. I've asked you to post the ones you agreed. I notice you have not done so.

I'm not fishing around for paper when I'm quite happy to pay the 1.5% blanket charge on all outgoing transactions. If you are not, stop using the card. :)
No. I am a man of means.

Fine. But please accept that the fact you are happy to pay unauthorised FairFX charges does not mean that other users should be.

Don't take the bait. He is either a Troll, incredibly stupid or just trying to hurt someone's business. I'm inclined to think that he is more than just incredibly stupid.
I took the time to illustrate his idiocy to him, but he refuses to accept it.
Of course he won't confront FairFx with his idiotic assertion that he has a Pound Sterling card that is different from the Anywhere card that the rest of us have.

He is so simple, that he missed that the USP of the Anywhere card is that the only charge is the 1.5% of any spending transaction. Clearly stated of ALL of the advertising of the card.

He tried to get out of it by claiming that he had a special 'Pounds Sterling' card exempt from the charges the rest of us with the usual 'Anywhere' have to pay.
Now he knows that such a card doesn't exist, does he admit he made a mistake?
No. He now tries to hide behind terms and conditions.
What he doesn't tell you is that within the Terms & Conditions there are no reference to any figures at all.

He is just one of life's victims who thinks that everyone is to blame but himself.

I suggest that now he knows the conditions of the Anywhere card have remained unchanged since last December and since he applied for it only a few weeks ago, that he empties the card and cuts it up.

I have contacted them, but obviously not instead of telling this forum.

As a matter of interest, does anyone here have a FairFX card that is identified as an "Anywhere" card on the card itself, on the acount page, or anywhere else?

On the company's home page at

    http://www.fairfx.com/

Three cards are available, the US Dollar Card (in US $) the Euro Card (in Euros) and the Anywhere Card (in UK £)
