to reply to everyone wondering this.
why do you need to discuss the r&r policy when its been done to death hundreds of times on this thread and it always ends in arguments?
if people want to discuss thr r&r policy itself ie fraud etc... I can lock this thread and refer to abuse and see what they say?
People have to realise how argumentative threads look to new people coming on the forum.0 -
Not to go up against a mod  but I have personally found the debate about fraud etc useful because it has raised some pertinent issues, particularly with reference to some of the more ... underhand tactics used by Tesco CS in making you feel like a criminal.
I know there have a couple of sharp words occasionally, but as a relative newcomer to MSE I haven't found it off-putting. As long as people know everyone has a right to an opinion then all will be cool.
[Edit] Posted at the same divadee posted above, so hadn't seen that.0 -

Couldn't agree more !0 -
think you better start a new thread then and put a list on the first thread saying what can and can't be discussed according to you, that way people who post will have no arguments abouts what is and isnt allowed......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

I haven't "done it to death or argued" but I would like to be able to comment on a post without having to try and second guess what I can and can't say for fear of the thread being locked.
As long as there is no personal abuse/insinuation of having committed a crime I cannot see what is wrong with the freedom to comment. You know what... you can't beat a good bargain!!!0 -

there is no need for an attitude like that izzy!!!!
Its not according to me its according to the forum rules.
I think the best thing will be to lock this thread until abuse can see it and deal with it. If they think that the fraud/stealing issues and arguements can go ahead then they have the last say.
Also this is not a public forum it is privately owned by Martin as such he has the right and he has given the forum team that right to make decisions for the good of the site.0 -
I will reopen this thread on the provision that the bickering/arguing stops here. The grabbit for is for facts, no opinions. If you want to discuss the ethics of buying/selling for profit, please use the discussion time forum.
Finally, this is a private forum owned by Martin. Unfotunately given the resources, it is not a place for free speech. There are rules in place that must be followed if you wish to post.
Kind regards0 -

I have been guilty myself of the above but only as a response to an ugly post in the first place. If we are civil to each other then peace will prevail. Lets see if we can make it to Part 10 without any windups.

Thanks for re-opening the thread!
The actual misprice discussions are very useful to me as a newbie Tesco Freak!
Popped into Tesco's Burton on Trent this morning and could not find a single misprice:rolleyes: ! The only thing we kind of spotted was the joints of beef with added basting fat had 2 white SEL's with different prices, but wasn't quite sure as although the product description was the same there were 2 SEL's? Not confident enough to attempt this as when we had some of this beef on r&r last week from another Tesco branch there was a clearly defined yellow SEL showing the price reduction.
Also the check out lady refused all coupons as although spending £16+ not purchasing the products on the coupons (all proper coupons none internet), she said this is Tesco Policy to only accept coupons if you purchase the items. Relented after I questioned this policy and said she would allow 1 coupon. So I tried the 1/2 price book voucher from the Daily Mail but she said Tesco is not a book shop so could not accept it? Tried to argue this as there is a huge display of books just up the aisle from the end check out she was working on. But she totally refused to even try to scan it, so ended up using a Huggies £1 off voucher. Off to ask advice on this in the Tesco codes, vouchers thread, lol!0
