Ladybird... If she's not eating much by way of food and having mostly milk... Are you getting a pre-weaned nappy rather than a dodgy tummy nappy?

Tiny Stars was, um, interesting I think would be the best word. They have joined it with Boobie Club - I am now going to the Surestart closer to me instead and the Boobie ladies were not very happy at being descended on. They got really arsy that a guy had turned up and were complaining about not being able to BF cos he was there and they sat away from everyone else and didn't join in any play or singing.
This happened to a booby group I went to when Aimee was a baby, they merged it with the toddler / story group... The booby group ladies were so put out they ended up leaving the sure start and running it from someone's front room... I thought it a rather over the top measure myself... I think it was all down to 1 woman though because she left and now the group runs from a church hall and is merged with a toddler group and a few Dads go... Nobody has ever complained...

    People are wierd...

I've been tired all day and DH wouldn't let me have a nap earlier (after his I should add). Now guess who has to make dinner and who is sleeping on the couch? At this rate his balls will be in the pot before the cheese sauce is ready....

And I have balls up in mega style by accidentally closing a paypal dispute and can now see myself being £86 out of pocket  Never do things like that when tired.

Suppose I'd better go make frickin dinner then.

    need some help please :)

    making fruit & veg purees

does fruit have to be soft to begin with?
I have apples, a pear, carrots & parsnip but the pear & parsnip feel hard (I don't like pear so not sure if it should be hard or soft :o)

How long should I steam them for?

would it be OK to whizz it in a smoothie maker?

Should I add baby milk/water to it before I freeze it or after or both?
(thinking about what Tia said about things getting runnier when you freeze
I don't think it matters what's hard & what's soft before you steam it, so long as it's soft afterwards! With regards to pears, some are hard to eat, some are soft - same as apples differ by variety. A parsnip is always hard, like a carrot is.

I nuked mine with a couple of tablespoons of water, but drained most of the water off before blitzing them (liquidiser). They do seem to defrost to runnier than they were before freezing.

Are you doing any baby rice? I've noticed that it gets runnier the longer it sits in the pot, so I've started making mine really thick now and then leaving it to get runny whilst I'm feeding Andrew his bottle.

eta. Andrew adored his carrot & rice mix today :)

Yes the loola, I hate the loola now. I'm in a big huge huff!

Well done Andrew on eating carrots! Amber will only take 2 meals a day, breakfast and lunch. Refuses an dinner solid, but seems happy. She had bread today :D Going to cook some carrot sticks later...this week, not in the mood now like.

They are all lovely pictures. I'm sure I have the same blanket as the one you are both sitting on in the park from when I was a baby.

I've never been sedated before, their sending me to the dental hospital as Im quite nervous and it's a root to be removed from a cracked wisdom tooth.

I had to be sedated as an old root canal job collapsed and got infected. No end of antibiotics would clear it up, and the injection thing wouldn't numb my gum because there was too much infection. Everytime the dentist tried to take it out, I nearly flew out the chair in pain :o

On the day, my Mam took me to the dentists who were doing the sedation (as hubby would need to sedated to get him through the front door of the dentists :rotfl:) I remember being sat in the chair ready and they put the sedative in the back of my hand. Next thing I'm aware of is being in a side room with my Mam. Got no recollection of getting the tooth out or walking to the side room. I had to hold a pack of cotton wool on my gum for few minutes and then I was free to go home. I was sleepy for the rest of the day, but fine the next morning.

There's nothing to be nervous of and everything felt much better once it had gone.
Here I go again on my own....
