Frodders - not asked you for a while - how's your wrist doing? I'm definitely more nervous on ice/snow even though that's not how I did mine!

Thanks for asking - but you might regret it!

Fingers, wrist and elbow sometimes ache; elbow, wrist and arm are sometimes sore and arm is sometimes painful. I have prescription painkillers for when I need them but it doesn't seem to be getting any better  The worst case scenario is an op to remove the plates as it could be them causing the pain - I DO NOT want them to do this

I didn't do it slipping on ice - just on muddy grass so I am totally paranoid about slipping on the ice. I could do more damage if I fall awkwardly on it again ............. not going to think about that!

    How's your wrist? x

.....will be buying some essential oils and turning some int air fresheners....AnW'sMum, lets do that instead????

That sounds like a good idea but a house with 30+ air freshners in?!?!?!?!? :rotfl::rotfl:In fact I need to count the odd socks, my friend used to love (V odd woman!) pairing socks for me, thought it was cute all the different sizes  She would report how many odd socks were left each week when I got back from ringing with Miss A. The following week I would get a star if we had managed to decrease the number. Some weeks were good, others atrocious!

Decluttered a couple of heartbeats from HDD and also Miss A and W to bed. Going to have a stella and watch Casualty.

Ouch! That sounds painful. I'm lucky - if I do a particularly deep massage it aches for a while the next day but using hot stones for most massages has almost stopped that happening now. If stripes pulls to much it can hurt too. The thing that sorted mine out most of all was heat - applying hot stones, water bottles, anything that warmed it up and massaging it lightly. I can't wait for this cold weather to go.

Oh, and something terrible has happened, I'm turning into my father and shouting at the news. Why don't they just report stories and stop the dramatics. Drives me mad!

Signing out.... a grumpy old woman:rotfl:xx

    Hello ladies,

I know at the end of last year, we'd planned to have a possible flylady meet at the beginning of this year in Portsmouth, but due to people's commitments at the time, it couldn't go ahead.

mumofjusttwo, LadyL and I have been chatting, and decided it would be really nice if we could all meet up during the easter holidays - Saturday 10th April down here.

If you are interested in going, please send me a PM - hopefully OH is going to try and turn our spare room into a proper bedroom, and we're going to try and get a double bed, or at least an airbed if we can't get a real one in time, so a couple of people who are travelling long distance could stay with me if they need to. Our sofa isn't hugely comfortable, but if you don't mind uneven cushions, that is free too.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I've managed to log in to work from my mac, so I've got the documents I need for Monday. However, I'm pretty sure that my work laptop is terminal... the helpdesk will be up and running again tomorrow evening, so I'm going to give them a call and ask them to send out a replacement asap. It'll be under warranty, and I need to work (I can't get to all the applications I need via the web, but luckily I could get to the most important one!)

Tomorrow really needs to be a paperwork day. The rest of the house is pretty good (bar the utility room, obviously, which came in handy today with all the snowy walkers coming back here!), so if I can clear my paperwork and some of the admin that needs doing, the study will be ready for whenever Pigpen tells me I have to blitz the shelves. (Actually, I suppose I should point out that I'm NEVER going to get the study done on a bathroom day, so maybe we could have it on children's day instead of the spare room some time? Perhaps the rooms that are combined could be varied occasionally to allow for those people who have dining rooms, studies & utility rooms to give them a thorough blitz - as well as the rooms that share their days? And I know some of you have other rooms like playrooms that need doing too...)

Suppose I should head off for bed. I've built up the fire, and it might keep going overnight but I really need to go outside  and bring in one of the bags of coal my brother brought for me so I can make sure it has enough for now and I can get it going again first thing.

Oh... and I need to make a list of all the shopping for fire-related and weather-related stuff I clearly have to buy myself! :D:D

I'll have to check on dates, but provisionally I'm in, and could probably put a couple of people up too.

Have a look in the sales - I got a double airbed for £10 after christmas a couple of years ago, and if you then get a proper bed you can have the airbed as a spare to use in the living room. Bear in mind you need to get extra bedding too, but again, keep an eye out for bargains as and when they appear. You should be able to get a double duvet for under a tenner. I recommend an underblanket/mattress cover for the airbed if you can find one, as otherwise they can be a bit cold. But I have to admit the quality of bedding I have for my airbed and sofabed isn't quite as good as what I have on my own and the spare bed ;) as they only tend to be used for one or two nights at a time.

Bedding isn't a problem - I have a bit of a stash of it, as it means I don't get bored with my duvet covers etc if I rotate them regularly. Thanks for the tip about the airbed though - will look out fo some. As you say, it could always go in the living room if we move the furniture a bit.

    I second this!

Mudbath your son is a star. His message to Helen's DH was a lovely thing for him to do.

Piggers Congratulations on the Overdraft! I think most of my little put-off jobs have been covered, although I really need to sort out my filing I agree with what you decided about debt-free challenges.

Diva lots of vibes for Tristan, and hope your cat is okay xx

Have done no flying today, spent it with my grandparents and some family friends in Cheshire. I had a lovely day, but I'm in a horrible mood. Just want to shout and cry.

Lots of hugs and love to everyone, stay warm.

I'm in and I can put people up too - I have a spare single bed, a single airbed, a double airbed and a comfy sofa!

I can also do collections from train stations if need be

I'm going up to bed to keep warm and read for a bit. I will do some more flying and school work tomorrow

    Night all, sleep well xx

PIgpen haven't got any added suggestions as such but sometimes I tend to ignore the extra lists maybe they could be juggled around a bit, so they are included on the levels some weeks.

    I like the MACAW also.

Anyway no stars this week but hopefully I'll be flying next week (if my toe is ok) the house is ok as I've been delegating the chores to oh and kids,

Hope all you flyladies are well.
