I meant to ask, have you checked rates using both your TR cards? One logged in, and the other in the companion field?

Just tried a dummy booking and there wasn't a companion field to enter another TR No. I have seen one before, but it's not appearing going through Hot Deals.

I think there is even more wrong with their site than I originally thought. Just entered hubby's TR No and the rates came up on the calendar as expected. However.......... when I selected the dates of the stay and clicked Available Rooms, I noticed the Average per Night seemed high. When I clicked on View More Details, the rates had gone up considerably and were more than double for the weekend nights.

No reply yet to the email I sent them.

    Hi

Could you please advise who what where the best place/company to organise a limo from the airport - a google search brings up endless results so a little help from people with experience would be welcome.

    Thanks.

Oh were only going to the Excalibur which i know isnt far, so preferably we would like it to drive downtown then cruise back up the strip. we need a limo that includes champagne too.

We used Presidential Limos and it cost the same, $60, whether you went straight to your hotel and had an hour in the limo. I just emailed them and said I wanted a tour of the strip before being dropped off.

Apparently the clock starts when you flight lands, which is a bit of a bummer if you are flying direct and clearing immigration at LAS. Even flying into T1 it tooks us 20 mins to get to the baggage claim and another 25 mins before the cases appeared.

I asked them to pick me up 45 mins after the flight was due to land and it was 45 mins after pick up that we were dropped off.

Re free drinks. I think all the American carriers charge for alcohol, but soft drinks are free.

Tried it on my end and you're right - if you go through the Hot Deals section it doesn't give a place for a companion...so must only be when you go through the regular reservations section after logging in.

Hope it all gets sorted out anyway - it does sound like things are a bit wonky!

Sorry to go slightly off topic- can anyone help? I've booked to go back to Vegas on 23/11/09 (flight No. VS43).

One of my mates wants to come so I went to a travel agent last week to get a price for him. They told me there were 9 seats left on this flight, is there anywhere on tinternet that I can find up-to-date info about seat availability?

    TIA

You can get a 5-day free trial here and check (just remember to cancel before they take the first payment):

I would be shocked if there were only 9 seats left on the flight at this point..unless there's something major going on.

Why doesn't he just go online to Virgin's website and check himself for a price? Why involve a travel agent?

i was half considering this too, but couldnt decide if i would be too tired after flight!
would be interested to know though what u come up with

I agree with you - plus, upon arriving in Vegas the only thing I want to do is get to the hotel, get checked in, have a shower and hit the casino...personally, I would choose a limo ride at night some other time over one upon arrival - seems like it would be much more relaxed and enjoyable...though I suppose if it's a first trip and/or one with special significance, perhaps a limo ride upon arrival would be nice.

Hi, well me and my gf fly out to LA tomorrow and we will be in Vegas this time next week. Only downside is that I found out this week that I am probably being made redundant (will know for sure Tuesday).

Anyway has anyone thats been out recently seen Peepshow at tix4tonite, I know there is an offer at travelzoo but if I can get it cheaper there it would be better???

Also we were going to do a helicopter to the GC but probably cant now so I was thinking of either getting a coach or driving to the south rim and just wanted to know if anyone has driven and if they found it a bit too much driving for one day?

Has anyone played SnG poker in vegas, would quite like to give this a try but I am a bit worried as I've never played live before?

And lastly a big thanks to everyone who posts as this years (esp the MGM buffet deal) and last years threads have been a great help in our last 2 trips.

    Thanks
    Ian

i take it you have played Poker online before . Playing live is a lot different and like Froggit says you will fall into some classic Newbie mistakes like string betting ect .

i like Harrahs poker room for tourneys . reasonable buy in , and good structure .

if you want Sit and Go the MGM Grand is good .

print this off before you go

thanks to all for their thoughts. decided to stay as we are so we have two hotels on either end of the strip. want to keep NYNY and have free upgrade to park view strip room. will wait and see if any good offers appear for hotels instead of the IP but in that area. Was a bit worried about IP due to mixed reviews but those that have gone recently say it is ok and we only paid approx £100 for 4 nights midweek in october.
    thanks again,
    steve.

Here are the pictures of our pool view non smoking King bed room at the IP

    Nothing wrong with it IMO
