It will be in January like the one this year but in 2010.

There's def a single supplement listed in the holiday breakdown with Virgin.

    Thanks.

Hiya, like previous poster said, hotel rooms tend not to be per person, but per room. Virgin charges are almost always priced based on two or more people in a room and as such will generally add a single supplement. As a singleton, I find this a lot of the time.

    Hey up,

Can anyone get any good return flight prices for the following? I've been searching for the past few weeks and I'm getting quoted £400+!

    Dates:
    May 22nd 2009 - May 29th 2009
    Passengers:
    3 x Adults
    Depart: Manchester
    Arrival: Orlando
    Type: Return

Thanks for taking the time guys,

    Sho.

p.s. Preferably looking for tickets with decent flight time duration. I've seen cheaper tickets but the total flying time one-way is close to 24hours!

Also posted this on thedibb but looking for more advice, thanks!

Last year we booked three weeks in the All Stars Music in August 2009 with airtours which is now apparently Thomas Cook. After booking I began to wish that we'd booked for the week before which includes my birthday and DS's birthday. It would also make things easier at work as it would coincide with my jobshare partner's holidays (we're teachers) and give us longer to plan / arrange the classroom when we get back. However, I tried to move the dates and they were fully booked.

Anyway, we still have £4100 to pay.

Intrigued by the idea of Disney Dining plan I have been idly looking at the Disney website and have been playing about pricing up options.

I have found that looking at dates a week earlier I can get flights for the five of us for £2290, a week at AllStars Music for £364 then a further two weeks at Old Key West or Saratoga Springs for £1365 - a grand total of £3995 - less than the remaining payment we have to pay and would include two weeks Disney Dining Plan and we would be in a nicer hotel. That's the pros.

    The cons would be

    * We would lose our deposit (which is annoying but we would still be paying less)
    * I have already booked Disney tickets through Virgin. I have also booked Discovery Cove with them on the same booking. If I cancelled the Disney tickets would I lose anything, given that I wouldn't be cancelling any other tickets I have booked with them?
*I would have to alter the car hire dates - maybe would lose deposit here as well? Or would they just change dates for amendment fee?
    * It's a bit scary booking everything separately when we've always done a package booking and OH is saying leave what we have in place. Though he is torn by the idea of the dining plan as we've agreed to a lot of table service meals and with two children who class as adults (15 and 10) it will cost a fair bit.

Please advise...or tell me I'm crazy!

Chocaholic. GO FOR IT!Your Disney and Discovery Cove Tickets are yours [hows the date for Discovery Cove]. Disney tickets are not activated until the first day of use. What car rental firm is it? or is it part of the package.
The last time I saw the figures, its over 45% go on their own and I would imagine that has risen. So its not hard! I would do it for the better hotel, let alone saving money.

Date for Discovery Cove would be fine - right at the end of the trip, but fine. I would need to cancel the Disney tickets with Virgin though as you have to buy them with Disney to get the free dining. Just need to wait until 9amto phone Virgin.

Car rental is with USCARHIRE (with Alamo).

That's actually the official date of the peak of the Hurricane Season so if you are unlucky you could get some bad weather. The chances of a direct hit on the exact dates you are going are obviously very low but as the systems tend to be hundreds of miles across there is a reasonable possibility of some rain for a day or 2 if something is close to the coast (they tend to go up the east coast before curving back out to sea).

Thanks for that. I'm a little worried about it being Hurricane season when we go but were going for 14 days so a day or 2 of bad whether won't bother me much.:D

After a tip off from thedibb forum, I just bought Disney 14 day ultimate tickets for £199 each and Flextickets (not Plus) for £125. Cheapest price I've found in months of searching! Booked them with Thomas Cook Torquay branch, tel 0845 308 9610. They send the tickets to your nearest branch for you to collect. It seems to be only certain branches selling at this price though. My branch wanted £235 & £155!!!

I checked with some other runners (who do Disney races without their families) and they always their book hotel direct with Disney and flights serarately and they NEVER get a single supplement so it looks like sep bookings are the cheaper way to do it.

    Thanks for your input :)

    Hi

I've just booked port orleans and virgin flights separtely after Thomas Cook cancelled my holiday for December (12yr old any myself), apparently they have cancelled all flights out of manchester over the winter. I got a refund on the balance and saved a massive £600.00. I couldn't believe the difference. I have now added the disney dining plan after doing the math and think this will work out cheaper. some people argue that it is more restrictive, but I like to be organised, so I think it will work well.
With the extra money I have saved I have booked discovery cove as a christmas suprise for my son.
It might be worth booking separtely and put the rest down to expereince.
    Kim
We have stayed at All Stars before and my son loved it.
    back to comping
