ravy i agree with saz PLEASSEE carry on posting your losses, its not negative its inspiring and shows that lowcarb really does work so pls dont stop posting them or we will come and get u!!!
saz well no wonder no big change if u got TOM looming, crustless quiche is nice so are cold omelettes believe it or not, sometimes i do a frittata and bung cheese on top for under the grill thats nice and doesnt taste eggy if u use lots of spices, its also nice cold.. u dont have to use the cheese
more fat .. hmm well crispy skin off chicken, crackling from pork chops, fat off end of steak lol can u see where i am going with this
ravy i think they arent a 100% sure it is a stone so are leaving it to urologist man to decide whenever i get to see him. i feel better tho cos had it been something more serious it would of shown in the myriad of X-rays they took, i think i was stressing cos i had such a terrible time with my gallbladder attacks last year which went undiagnosed that i had worked myself up into one .. i am not usually a worrier but yesterday made me realise how badly i got affected last year but am back on the up now pain or no pain lol

I'm definitely with the others. It's inspiring hearing of others' weight loss.0

I needed a treat, so I am eating Delia's Lemon Souffle Omelette (with double cream
). Recipe here if anyone's interested.
I used Splenda instead of sugar, of course, and I'm not sure if I'm really allowed more than a squirt of lemon juice but, hey ho, It's gorgeous!
I had chicken salad too, so a light dinner for me tonight, I think.0 -
Hi everyone! I've been MIA for ages due to life and computer problems but I've still been low carbing and doing well! Down to my target size so I've been lapsing a little, sticking to it during the week but going a little off the rails on a weekend. Not particularly good, but it tends to work for me! That said, I had a very carby day yesterday and still feel awful! So bloated! I think that has taught me that CARBS ARE EVIL!
I'm now going to try to catch up on what I've missed and see how well everyone has been doing!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Hope Ive got the right end of the stick as i havent read far back but a couple of yeas ago i developed a stone while on Atkins. I'm not saying that was the cause but Id never had one before. I did come off Atkins at that point and had to have some tablets or other and it went. But I noticed that I have a slight pain in the bottom of my right side again now after 2 weeks on Atkins so Im suspecting that too much protein is developing into another one.A minute pin head stone can be agonising so I symaphise.
Im not giving up but am going to increase water and veg consumption and lower the old egg intake a bit.

I'm having a grumpy day today, and so am halfway down a generous glass of my favourite wine - my first for five weeks.
It's very silly of me, since it's my weigh-day tomorrow.
Should I:
a) drink lots and lots of water this evening to counteract the damage, and have a light protein dinner
b) drink lots of water and skip dinner completely
c) have another glass or two of the nectar, send DD out to Tesco (I love having a teenager who can drive) to buy me a bar of Galaxy Cookie Crumble and forget about weighing this week?

A!!! drink lots of water
u cant send a poor defenceless teenager out in the cold and rain jus to satisfy your selfish desire for chocolate and wine, poor child, such a cruel mother tut tut
ok is that enough guilt for you? or shall i get on to how disappointed u will be when u get on the scales and how awful u will feel after all them carbs?
i could prob come up with more lol

My glass appears to have refilled itself.
However white wine has no carbs, I think? And I know that the body burns alcohol before carbs (and then fat) but I've had only 12g of carb today.
Although my weigh-day is tomorrow, I did weigh myself this morning and was 2lb down. It'll be interesting to see what the scales say tomorrow as a result of my filthy two-glass binge. (Nearer three, I admit, since my measures are quite large.)
Thank you, Shykins, for being the voice of reason. I know I'm being naughty but at least I've accepted that there's going to be no Galaxy Cookie Crumble on the horizon. And I'm drinking loads of water!0
