Ok think I've got it to work this time.
Looks like some kind of glitch on BT's site.

You mean we CAN NOT blame Redten or Clode

I think you should apologise to them :rotfl:for impugning their integrity
    Who cares ??

Hi, I'm new here but I stopped getting any kind of internet from the 10th March, so after a very big phone bill came in I stopped my DD to clode and signed up with talktalk and have had the internet with them now since 29th April. I wrote a complaint email to clode who sent me a letter saying they were sorry and would investigate and get back to me within 4 weeks with the outcome, I have also received there automated letter about non payment.
Whatever happens next there not getting anymore money out of me, if anything they owe me for 2 months no internet and a huge phone bill which I'm stuggling to pay, I just want out and for them now to leave me alone I really don't need the stress.
If anyone has any advise or thinks I need to be doing something else please let me know cos I'm no good at this.

Hi and welcome to the forum. If you've read many of the posts, you'll see this whole mess has caused a fair amount of stress - so you're not alone!
If you are new to this, I personally would recommend Consumer Direct 08454 04 05 06. While they probably won't tell you anything you cannot find on this forum, the good thing is they take you step by step through what you need to do.
Main thing is - don't let it get to you! icon7.gif
ps If you need any backup information, essex_zx7r maintains an excellent site at www.deadten.com with much that is useful from this forum.

I'm keeping mine, I've paid off Clode got my MAC and the free pc turns out to be just that, free! :D
Not very good I'll grant you, but free non the less.
I've put in 2Gb of ram and a dedicated video card, now it's mine free and clear I might even upgrade the cpu and do a clean install with a new copy of XP so as to finally rid myself of all the bolox that Red-Cu-nts-Ten shipped with it

same here - was only free after 36 months so "free" a little early. Did same as ChrisChaos with memory and card so not bad really -shame about all the aggro getting this far - try mac code tonight so fingers crossed and I'll be gone. Don't forget the "topcashbacks" on MSE where you can get the "intro" fee from new provider. Might try BE - £40 cashback or so they promise

Has anyone else found that since we were migrated to NJP, the SPAM levels have grown, to be fair to Redten, SPAM was very rare on my machine, but I am now getting around a dozen messages a day and it is increasing.

As such I have just forwarded one to NJP, Redten, Nick Davies and Nicola Dobson with the attached message, in the hope someone will nip it in the bud.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since our abduction to NJP Services, the amount of this sort of SPAM has reached inappropriate levels, and I am now getting maybe a dozen or more a day, and increasing.

This would indicate that someone is relaying my details to the purveyors of this rubbish.

As such I have decided that should that should the levels of SPAM not be brought under control then I shall find it necessary to forward them to you all for further investigation, in the hope that the source can be found and stopped.

    Regards

    Jack Parkinson

I am not suggesting that we flood NJP and co. with our unwanted junk mail, but if everyones SPAM is on the increase then it would seem that someone is making money flogging our details to these cowboys.

    Food for thought!

First things first - don't publish your email address on websites (such as this) as internet robots will come around, pick up your email address, and send you more SPAM. You cannot blame your ISP for everything.

At a guess NJP don't have SPAM filters, whereas RedTen probably did before the problems arose in March.
