Hi, thought I would report back that the all bran cake went really well. I went off recipe slightly (a bad habit of mine) I added only half the sugar and I used brown sugar, I used mixed fruit, cherries, walnuts, sunflower seeds and coconut! Sounds like an awful mixture now I've written it but I promise it was lovely. I had loads of nearly finished packets and we are in the midst of moving at the mo so I am trying to use things up.
Had quite baking day today so I also made some Millies Cookies, Parkin and a 'fridge' soup.
I will continue to read this thread with much interest and pinch tips along the way. Thank you for 'letting me in'.0 -

Shaz, don't you have a Lidl near you, they do 2-litre bottles of fizzy water for around the 20p-ish mark (been a while since I bought one) and it tastes fine - I'm sure I couldn't tell the difference between it and San Pellegrino (my college vice!) if it was a blind tasting.
Weezl, how would you suggest I go about smuggling some fruit into my DH's diet, he has a psychological block when it comes to eating fruit, he says it makes him feel sick! -silly man! I've tried smoothies but they are hugely expensive to buy and make.

How do you bookmark a thread? There are so many wonderful receipies I want to try and I keep forgetting to copy/paste into the word doc I set up.

I'm not sure Shaz as its not one I've made! Did anyone else try it? I would hae thought that the banana taste would come through as its tends to generally...it did with the other banana one i made, although that had 3 in it rather than the 2 in this recipe.
