Raph, I'm sure you'll find your outdoor pace in no time, it's really great to hear about your progress with the running. I'll look forward to hearing how it goes with the club.

Went for another run when I finished work this morning, I'm defiantely running differently than in the gym, as my muscles are now aching.
Poor doggy can't keep up thou, she collapsed on the floor when we got back in, couldn't even manage to climb up on the sofa. :rotfl:

Having a rest day today to let my muscles ease. I may stick my yoga dvd on later, I've been slacking on that one lately!:o

Raph - it's great to hear of your progress re the running. I'm sure that joining the group will lift you to a whole new level of fitness and confidence. I love it when peeps stick around long term: it's so rewarding to share all your sucesses, especially when we've been part of the not so good times either.

I can't wait for my first session, getting excited now, really getting into it.:D I can't wait until I'm one of those people I used to sit in the car and watch running up the road, thinking 'They're mad!'

Finally (I hope) I'm having my review with Simon tomorrow, will let you all know how it goes.

I cant wait to start loosing weight again. Im dreading this warmer weather in some respects. I always do at the beggining. Its like you need to loose your winter virginity in order to wear un sleeved tops and short skirts!

Cant wait to wear my monsoon dress that i bought when the summer stuff hit the shops. Never buy from monsoon but this dress is ace.

Has anyone tried the 'Maple Syrup Diet/Detox'? I'm thinking of trying this one, but can't seem to find anywhere that sells the special syrup. Is there stockist that sells the stuff in a store rather than having to buy online and wait days??
Landia - sorry for delayed response. I haven't heard of the maple diet I'm afraid. I wonder if it is similar to the honey diet, that I had a book for a few years ago?

You either need scales that measure it, it sends electric impulses thru you & works it out from the signals coming back, as bones, fat & water have different densities.
Or I think you can use some tong things to measure the thickness of the skin/fat

No easy formula I don't think.

    Hi Folks,

Another Wednesday rolls around so quickly and time once more for the chart:

Congratulations to Raphael - this week's slimmer of the week with 5lbs off.. All that running is really paying off:j

Congratulations also AGAIN! to Kymrob with 4lbs off - You're the out and out leader for the slimmer of the challenge - well done.

    se0n4p.jpg

Some fantastic losses all around and some very consistent ones. If you would like, I could print the whole chart next week which gives the previous month's weekly results. Just let me know.

Finally, only one week left of the April challenge and then I pass the chart on...... There's loads of scope for people to get that last few pounds off and make this month's target - well done to everyone who has already acheived it. Good luck this week.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

thanks raphael, i was hoping there would be a formunla. guess ill stick a quid in the scales at the gym and see what it says.

maple syrup diet, i ahve a friend who does it periodically. she usually loose up to 10lbs during the 2 weeks on it but puts it all back on immediately she stops. she does it as a detox though rather than for dieting reasons. the part of my brain that still sees eating as bad thinks it would be a wonderful way to kick start skipping meals again so i have never allowed myself to find out any more about it, or any of the other detox fads.
