Travelodge £19 room sale. Book by 29 June for stays upto 31 August.

UPDATE 24 June. Travelodge has added another 10,000 rooms to its £19 room sale. It ends 29 June though so grab 'em quick.

What's the deal?

Budget hotel chain Travelodge will be offering a large number of Saver rooms in all its UK hotels at £19 from this Thursday morning (5 June). Rooms will be available to stay between 27 June and 31 August. The offer's available on bookings made up to 29 June.

What are Travelodge rooms like?

They're clean and functional, and do the job. This is about the eleventh travelodge deal that MoneySavers have jammed in and there's usually extremely good feedback from those who've taken part, though there are some concerns it has a deliberate 'overbooking' policy, but most MoneySavers don't report problems.

What you need to do

£19 rooms will be available from Thursday. Use Travelodge's room search to find a hotel and date available. Be aware Supersaver rooms are pre-pay and non-refundable and you must book at least 21 days before arrival and must be paid for in advance.

Bag extra cashback

If you use cashback websites you can even get cashback on these; see Top Cashback sites

Is this as cheap as it gets?

No, in the past it has very rarely done £9 room sales; but these tend to be once a year at most and not over the summer... this is a still a dirt cheap deal. Any new promotions by it or other cheap hotel chains in the weekly email.

Bag some cheap days out to go with your bargain room

If you're thinking of taking the family away have a look at the Pay Less For Going Out article for tips and tricks on how to slash the cost of days out which include cut price theme park tickets and 2for1 attractions.

Plus from Wednesday, 25 June, Travelodge is publishing a free guide 'See Britain the Free Way' which lists attractions across the UK that are free to visit.

:T:money:has saved me a small fortune! Thank you.
  • We've had quite a few weekends away with £19 or £29 Travelodge rooms. They're perfectly clean and functional; en-suite bathroom, TV, etc. Make sure you get one with a car park (or if not, check out the cost of parking nearby - can add £5+ per night to your stay).

We never have their breakfast (which is extra) and take our own instead (e.g. rolls or croissants), plus sandwiches, drinks and snacks in a coolbox.

Absolutely spot on. We take breakfast too, or use a voucher for a nearby bakery like Greggs!

The ones with no car parks are cheeky beacuse you can physically book the night without being told there is no car park (you have to look in the hotel info for that). They should have a pop up when booking to advise there is no car park, but hey ho, my complaint was basically ignored.

The rooms are varied I have found. Some still smell of smoke. But for £19 it's pretty damn good.

If you plan to stay for more than one day the booking system will not let you book at the £19, dicounted rate. They charge you the normal prices.

What you have to do is book your stay one day at a time. For example, if you want to stop for 5 nights, you have to make 5 seperate bookings and in return you will get 5 different booking referrence numbers.

I have planned a 5 night stay in July so do not know what the outcome will be. May have to check-out then re check-in, maybe into a different room.
  • We are staying in London - well, Heston Services Travelodge!- next Sunday and Monday for £9 per night. Had to book about 4 months ago but great value as it's only 10 miles from central London and £4.50 each per night for two of us!

Do they not show any of the £19 saver prices until Friday morning?

Just had a look as any nights I can get in York for that price would be ideal over the coming months for Work purposes but no dates listed in red as sale prices so assume that its because they aren't released until Friday morning.
  • I need just one night in London, Friday 4th July, the closest travelodge to where im going is Marlybone and the cheapest room is £85

I was also looking at York but they don't have any saver rates for the dates I want. Oh well!
