We have just returned from a few days in Wales. We had two separate bookings for the first few nights in the same hotel. We mentioned this when we checked in and the receptionist said that we could have the same room. I think that they are keen to let people stay in the same room because there is a possibility that they will have to provide less towels (keeping the same towel for more than one night to save the environment).
I have just been looking at some more rooms and came across a 'Ambulant Family Room'. Does anyone know the different between this type of room and a 'normal' family room?

This morning I tried to book a £19 room at Newcastle Seaton Burn. The site highlighted that they had a room free on the dates I wanted to book at £19. When I tried to book however the price charged jumped to £51 per night. Thinking I'd done something wrong we returned to the site tonight. Now the site highlights they don't have £19 rooms free but do have £29 rooms free on the nights we wanted. We tried to book a £29 room and again the price that came up was £51.
I phoned Travelodge and was told that all cheaper rooms had been booked, she didn't offer to check my specific hotel or dates. Surely a large company like Travelodge has software on their site so that they don't advertise rooms at one price when they don't in fact have any? This feels like a massive con to me. Surely they shouldn't advertise rooms as available at one price, let you start the booking procedure and only then do you discover the price is more than double.0 -

We got 2 rooms a double and a family for £19 each at Stansted. Brilliant for me as we have an early checkin-and a cab from here is £90 compared with £20 for two by public transport the night before and saves the rest of the party driving through the night from Cumbria before flying. £20 v £90 and no pre flight stress-no contestI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Thinking of staying at the one in Blackpool, but it says there is an extra charge for parking. Does anybody know how much or if there is any decent parking nearby which would be free ?0
