Enough is enough.
I am lost and helpless in getting the missing part of my wardrobe from Worldstores or Bedroomworld. I have tried everything but no progress to date. I have even emailed the co-CEO, I am amazed that a company with so many bad reviews can even get a £8.5m investment from such a prominent VC.

To be fair to the company the wardrobe did arrive on time but without two doors and backpanel. After we realised that some of the parts were missing my wife emailed the customer service and got a very quick response telling us that they had re-ordered the part for us on 25th July. So we waited and waited. Nothing happened. We rang the customer service again on 8th August and were told that there was a system issue. The customer service told us that she had personally tracked down the supplier and reordered the part. Again, we were told that the part should arrive by 11th August. Ok, we waited and waited. Nothing happened. I rang up the customer service again and was told that there was a problem with their supplier’s system. Obviously, I was so angry and upset as my wife (who is heavily pregnant) waited at home for the whole week for the part to arrive. On that day I requested the manager to call me so that I could escalate this issue up the chain. The manager gave me his assurance that this issue would be resolved within 2-3 working days. He had every confidence that the part would be delivered soon. What really upset me was that the manager told me that it was not their issue and it was their supplier issue. Excuse me, I paid my money to Worlstores, not to the supplier. It is Worlstores problem, not my problem.

Until now, we still haven’t heard anything from them in terms of getting our part delivered. What we get is they will contact the supplier again and see what they can do. There is no point for them to calling/emailing us to say that they are on the case. Enough is enough. I really need someone to advise me on what should I do next.

Looking at the Worldstores website they have been reported on MSE before. Their offices are a rented so everything is dropshipped to you so all their claims of their own huge warehouse are bull.... as is their statement about great service. IIRC the complainant in the previous thread did eventually get the matter resolved.

You have to wonder about Worldstores when they don't bother to display ANY telephone number on their website.

hi i am in a similar situation, i ordered a bed from worldstores online and once my bed arrived i realized that there was no screws in the box, so i immediately called up worldstores. After being on hold for 15 minutes i finally spoke to a member of staff who assured me that my replacement parts will be with me withing 2-3 working days....
we are now in SEPTEMBER and i STILL have not recieved the screws for my bed, i have called and spoken to numerous members of staff who each 'CLAIM' to have spoken to the manufacturers and made sure that my screws will be sent out....but NOTHING!!!!!
i honestly have never recieved such atrocious service and i am so fed up i really wish to take this further also!!! Especially considering i spent £400 on a bit that i cant use!!

    what should i do!!!!

I would look at the instructions, make a note of the screw sizes and number required, then go to Wickes or Homebase for the screws

I would not waste too much time with a company that does not send things as agreed

Ordered a chair from chairsupermarket.co.uk on Sunday and it stated next day delivery, so was expecting it today. Phoned up to enquire since the website still showed 'awaiting dispatch' to be told it had been sent out and i would get it today, by 4:50pm and no sign of the chair i phoned again and asked for tracking details. The lady then put me on hold or so she thought, i could hear her speaking to someone else in the office and heard him say just tell him there is a problem with Parcel Force to which she did and told me i will get it delivered tomorrow.

Only wish i had read all the thousands of bad reviews beforehand, i have never seen a company with so many bad reviews, not for a long time anyway.

Frenchworld, Oh I wish I had checked up on worldstores before my husband ordered a bunk bed from bunkbedsworld (part of the umberella company of worldstores)

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=4112265

One of the problems is there are so many smaller websites under the main worldstores website, so when you check on review centre for a specific review it does not show all the poor reviews for worldstore

there are many poor reviews on there, all with very similar tales, and to be honest, (although they must have some satisfied customers), it makes me wonder how many of the 5star reviews are genuine. They obviously monitor the reviews there, as they have replied to many of them with a standard message!

I purchased a mattress from Bedstore part of the WorldStores group of businesses. The mattress was ordered on a Saturday and arrived on the Tuesday. So far so good. In that time the price dropped by £50. When I finally managed to contact them on the following number 02084086295, the customer service manager was most unhelpful. It is not their policy to refund any difference after a price drops.

Personally, because of this I will certainly not be spending any more money with this company or any of its group of companies again. Very disappointing.

You wouldn't have complained had there been an increase in price though, would you?

You made the decision to purchase on the Saturday and agreed the price then.

I am really confused by this company. Is anyone else?
I have had the most awful "on-line shopping experience" I have ever had, they get awful reviews, their customer service is terrible-and yet they still trade. They seem, from my point of view, to manipulate their review ratings. Do they just make money from their premium rate phone lines? or by holding customers money for weeks un-refunded? I don't get it!!

World Stores like any other company probably have their fair share of satisfied or can't-be-bothered-to-complain customers. They share a common trait with two companies that operate in a simliar manner:

    Kybotech and Redsave.

Kybotech is a garden supplies business is run by Charles Walton. Redsave is run by Max Walker and Rebecca Vowles of Nettexmedia.

All three companies have director(s) who are tech savvy. They specialise in creating websites and tech commerce. The webshops they create lack the support from these directors and lead to a disproportionate amount of complaints. All three companies seem to operate as a tech house first and a shop second which is where the problems arise.
