I can't believe puppy chews so much!!!! I hope she calms down soon as this is costing you lots of money.

Well done on £5 from Coop. Do you have shares with them?

I'm spending Christmas with my parents at their home. I will leave lodger here. I think he is trustworthy. It's nearly payday.

Payday ! Am so tired I will sort online banking tomorrow. We have had no heating again at work and I am feeling unwell. Yesterday they told me to go and sit in my car to warm up. All very well but its my petrol money I'm using !! Half the office was heated today so I moved and sat in the heated half !

SW I don't have shares in the traditional sense but you can become a member of the co-op for £1 and then for every £1 you spend using your membership card you get a share of the profits.

Puppy goes to vets for 8.30am tomorrow, not sure how long the operation/recovery will take but I will try and get some jobs done as I am off work.

Heating was rubbish at work for me too. I couldn't focus as it was so cold. I hope your time off is restful and that puppy is ok.

It is nearly the weekend. Like you both I am so glad it's payday. Once the credit card is paid I will be happy.

Took puppy to the vets this morning and am waiting for a call this afternoon to collect her. Must have all gone ok as she was the only one in today and the vet said she would be done soon after I dropped her off at 8.30am. She was not happy that she didn't get any breakfast this morning, poor girl ;)

DS got a 50% off voucher for spaying which has really helped as its very expensive. So today I took the 3 pet carriers and donated them to the shop where the voucher came from. One of the pet carriers was used a few times when we first brought puppy home, but the other 2 were brand new still with tags as amaxon kept sending us the wrong one and told us to keep them ! I will also do some more decluttering over the next few weeks and donate more to them.

I also picked up a few "special" Christmas cards from the local drug store "to a special couple, both of you, mum & dad, son, which were 29p each. I am going to try and be organised and write my cards this weekend so I can get second class stamps to save some money rather than first class. I also picked up 5 rolls of sellotape for £1.

One load of washing has just finished and been hung out as its sunny and windy out so hope it will dry. Have also emptied all the bins and got rid of 3 large cardboard boxes out for the bin / recycling collection today. Kitchen bin washed & patio scrubbed down. Am now having a sit down and a cuppa.

Fab news that puppy is ok, and that DS managed to save you some money from the bill.

Gosh you have been busy. It is freezing here. Nothing done as I have chilled since I got in. Hope you have a good night.:j

Thanks SW, puppy is ok but she is not impressed with her buster collar (like a large lampshade lol) and is moaning like a wookie :rotfl:

The vet said we could buy special food for after the op or she could have plain chicken and rice, so I cooked some this afternoon and since she got home she has eaten a little. She can't fit in her crate with her collar on so she is sleeping on the sofa. Its the first time we have left her out overnight so I am a little anxious, hope she will be ok. I paid £15 extra for painkillers for her for next few days.

Poor puppy I remember those collars as my friends doggie used to have to wear them regularly. The fact she can sleep on the sofa is a treat though.

It is so cold here. I hope it's ok by you.

Feeling very low at the moment. I always try to be positive and stay busy to occupy my mind but it's been a struggle lately, especially today. Puppy has been manic kept indoors most of the day per post op instructions with a 10 minute walk round the block this afternoon. She hates her collar and around 5pm she managed to bang it against the wall so it cracked and fell apart. Had to dash to the vets before they closed and pay for another. Typical DS had gone out so neighbour helped me get her in the car which she hates. We were home half an hour and she blooming cracked the new one :-/ Managed to Sellotape it back together. Apart from that nothing achieved today.
ETA .. Did manage to make a stew in the slow cooker and we had a reduced to clear steak pie for lunch down half price from £4 to £2. 4 portions of stew in freezer for quick microwave meałs.
DS has a new gf but doesn't seem to have cheered him up much.
One highlight of the day friend invited me to pop in this afternoon for a chat so we spent an hour consoling one another and had a baileys :)
