I completely sympathise. I have been feeling down - It maybe illness, the weather, work etc but hopefully the haircut will help.

Using a pizza code is fine. Hopefully some feel good food will help.

Remember we will have a few days off at Christmas and things could change for the better tomorrow.

    Stay strong my friend.

I am so glad its the weekend :j Its chilly this morning I have let the puppy out, fed her and played with her and she now snoozing again. She had another check up at the vet yesterday and her scar is healing nicely so we can take the cone off on sunday :D

It was sunny and windy yesterday so I hung some washing out in the afternoon. I had to wear my gloves though because it was so cold ! It didn't dry completely but finished off on airers last night when the heating came on. I always think washing smells nicer if its been on the line in the breeze. I had the last of the slow cooker stew from the freezer for lunch and cooked a garlic chicken from aldi for dinner with skinny fries and coleslaw so managed to avoid ordering a takeaway.

The weather forecast is a bit grim for today, will be doing a puppy walk about 9.30 and will plan the rest of the day then. Now I am going to have a snooze. ;)

  • It was a sunny morning but icy when I walked the puppy this morning. I got one load of washing done and some ironing from yesterday. I spent most of the day cleaning the kitchen & bathroom and hoovered downstairs. Had a snooze with the puppy on the sofa for almost 2 hours this afternoon :o then another puppy walk.

All food today from stores. Bacon roll this morning. Fish & chips from freezer for lunch & jacket potato with lamb shank in mint gravy & veg for dinner.

My car insurance is due for renewal soon so I have been trying to get quotes. It drives me nuts, I put all my details in for one company and the website crashed. All other quotes are coming in much higher than my renewal. I will do some more quotes tomorrow, am tired now so going to lie (sleep!) on the sofa for a while. DS is walking puppy in morning so I will try and put up the Christmas tree while they are out.

  • After posting last night I got myself in a bit of a flap over my car insurance. I realised my policy documents dated December 2016 showed I have had a driving licence for 3 years but its actually 19 years. In big bold letters next to that section it said if I didn't tell them about any errors straight away I could have my insurance cancelled

By 10am this morning when they opened I had convinced myself that they were going to cancel my insurance and I would lose my car :( I spoke to a lovely lady who said she couldn't understand why it said 3 years on the documents as they had the correct info on my records which she then told me and it was correct. Phew what a relief, I may have got a bit emotional on the phone :o I couldn't find a cheaper quote for the same cover and no excess last night, so when she gave me a bit of a discount I went ahead and renewed. Am so glad that's over for another year. I can totally understand why some people just auto renew each year !

DS took puppy for a walk this morning and she has had a bath and got her plastic cone off and she is much happier :) The weather has been a bit wild and wet but no snow.

I fancied KFC for lunch but instead cooked some hot and spicy chicken fillets and wedges from the freezer with cheese & jalapenos and garlic sauce with the last of the tinned sweetcorn and coleslaw. Tonight I am making chicken casserole with 4 chicken thighs 750g which I bought in coop a few weeks ago reduced to clear 69p, which are defrosting at the moment. The fridge and freezer are emptying to make some room for Christmas goodies.

The insurance sounds v stressful. Well done on sorting it out. Glad the lady helped you. I wouldn't even have known what to do.

Congrats also on MSE behaviour and drying clothes outside and also cooking own food. I haven't done that this weekend and have been vvvv naughty as I went away.

  • Have been feeling under the weather, so tired and sore throat. Puppy has been poorly too but thankfully 1 vet consultation is included with plan DS pays for. I was up with her at 4am on Wednesday DS looked after her in day and then he went to work last night I was up to her every couple of hours until midnight when she settled and went to sleep. I went to work at 6am and was so tired I decided to take a days leave tomorrow. I am now off work until 2nd January :j

It was warmer today so I washed throws from puppy sofa this afternoon and put them on the line for an hour, then they have finished drying on airers in front of radiators. They are back on sofa now and puppy is snoring so loud I can hear her from the living room :rotfl:

My gas and electric switch has gone through but I need to phone coop energy and find out what is happening about my final bill as I am currently £183.01 in credit !

  • Have been downstairs at 5,30am and put puppy out to toilet, given her breakfast, played with her & applied her medication and am now back in bed as she is snoozing. Not sure what the forecast is for today but I am hoping to get a load of washing done on 30 degree economy wash and maybe dried outside. I am so glad I do not have to go to work today :)

    Other plans for today

    1. phone coop gas & electric chase up final bill & possible refund
    2. write last few Christmas cards and post. Have six 2nd class stamps left, last posting date is wed 20th but want to get these done and out of way. Can post them on way to asda ...
    3. take 2 items of clothing back to asda for refund - these were bought weeks ago but the invoice says you have 100 days to return for refund !
    4. find a mcd receipt and do survey so I can claim big mac and fries for £1.99 on way home from asda
    5. clear living room ready for xmas tree going up this weekend
    6. make some soup with carrot, potato & onion from store cupboard. Need some warm comfort food to soothe my sore throat / cold
    7. write a shopping list for Christmas food
    8. start wrapping DS's stocking filler presents.

I hate wrapping and always leave it until the last minute so I am going to try and be organised and wrap one or two a night. I've just got him lots of chocolates (on offer & using coop vouchers) & socks and some lynx sprays so far. Plus the big box of shortbread I bought a few weeks ago and a big tube/box of Jaffa cakes ,:) I have ordered him some cheap DVD from amaxon which should arrive next week. I have some clear tree baubles from last year which you can fill with whatever you choose so will put him some cash in one of those. I will go to town next week and see if I can get anything else cheap from £ shop.

  • Puppy was still poorly yesterday so had to make another trip to the vet £102 for tests and antibiotics  DS has said he will give me the money back. That took up most of the morning so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped but still managed to do a few things on my list

    1. phone coop gas & electric chase up final bill & possible refund - done should be sorted within 2 weeks

    3. take 2 items of clothing back to asda for refund - these were bought weeks ago but the invoice says you have 100 days to return for refund ! done

    4. find a mcd receipt and do survey so I can claim big mac and fries for £1.99 on way home from asda done yum yum ! :D

Today has been sunny with blue skies but chilly. I did a puppy walk this morning, got a load of washing out on the line, ironed a few things and put away yesterdays washing and scrubbed the patio. I've had aldi oven fish and chips for lunch and a stew is in the slow cooker for dinner. I have written my last few Christmas cards that need posting and I will put them in the post box some time this weekend so they will be collected on Monday and should still arrive before Christmas :)

Sorry about puppy. I hope she is better. I'm glad that son is paying fees. Is it worth taking out insurance for her?

I am so envious that you dried things outside. I keep using the machine to dry as it is so cold. Well done on refunds and Christmas cards and McDonalds.

Ive had a lazy day in comparison and you put me to shame. Well done you.
