Yes had a day of cleaning and sorting yesterday - so many dust bunnies! F!tbit told me I had done 58 flights of stairs yesterday:rotfl:

Another day of cleaning and sorting today ready for a recycle centre run tomorrow, listing on Eb*y tonight and CS run on Tuesday.

Would like a beach walk to day but its grey and chilly. Anybody coming to look at the 'best view in UK' will be disappointed:( Think I may just go back to bed with a hot cross bun and a cup of tea before the Archers omnibus.......which I may also stay in bed for rather than clean the kitchen to.:p

Didnt get the Eb*y stuff listed, well just relisted a couple of things that didnt sell but had plenty of watchers so I thought it was worth another punt.......Went for a long beach walk after all - beach was deserted - tourists finding indoor attractions. Will try again today to list but not stressing over it. It will give me another chance to sort through and donate to CS pile.

Taking a couple of impulse buys back to the shop today and we are eating from stores so no spending going on here. Have a hairdresser appointment booked later in week - still holding out on having the basic cut and finish package and embracing the 'wisdom' ;) I had voucher sent by email from salon for £5 off as its my birthday month and I have a few loyalty points to use up so should be even cheaper. Easter is proving to be a bit:money:

Long busy day.......this new found energy is something else. Took impulse buy back and bought some gym pants which I needed and got some money refunded. Bought some large pot of daffs for 50p from the orange DIY store - they will look great next spring. Mini £5 shop that will last us the week as we are eating from stores. Little cat going to Vee Ee Tee tomorrow for annual booster - still using the weekly 'envelope' system for purchases like this so money already allocated :D

Going to catch up on Graham Norton now - loving not having to go to work tomorrow and being able to stay up late!!!!

Have come to a bit of a standstill...........body/mind saying take stock I think. Need to make a list as I am in danger of having too many projects on the go and not one finished!

Hair dresser appt and vet appt out of the way - not expecting anymore big expenses this month.

Definitely needed a re charge yesterday! Did a bit in the garden - cutting down a large Clematis Armandii which is encroaching from our neighbour and beginning to cover our green house!

Need to start thinking about work again - have a couple of reports to write which I will save for this evening I think. Only in work 3 days next week so that is a nice way to get back in the groove and then its another BH weekend:j

Going to to a small food shop later to keep us going over weekend. DD2 back Monday night so will wait to see what meals she is going to be around for before committing to a bigger/regular shop. Still eating out of stores although combos are beginning to get a bit odd:rotfl:

Back at work and everything I want to do gets put on hold........

First step of 'apply for your own job' rubbish now completed. Luckily we are just a little bit specialised and no one else in the 'organisation ' really understands what we do so we are hopeful that our jobs are safe for now......albeit with a pay cut . Unfortunately some of those further down the pecking order not looking too good. We are going to lose some highly skilled and dedicated staff for the sake of saving peanuts compared to what they are paying the person employed as The Grim Reaper who is making all the "savings".
I am beginning to formulate an escape route.........

Still waiting on confirmation about job situation.......goal posts have moved in the last week for some people and its getting really frustrating/annoying/worrying. The powers that be seem to have sat down with a giant chess board, ditched a few pawns, persuaded a knight or 2 to leave and put a dreadful old queen in a position of responsibility of which she has no clue how to deal with - brightest lights cast the darkest shadows and all that. The rest of the pieces they are still shuffling around with no idea what to do with them. It is so    and all down to saving a drop in the ocean :(

Anyway the escape route is now in planning format - basically I will retire - not yet but earlier, much earlier than planned although still a few years off! I need to get the debt down/gone by then as I really dont need it in retirement  First step is to look at pensions and get some advice. Second step is to tell OH my plan:o I am the bread winner - always have been. I know his pension outlook not as good as mine in that he has had periods of unemployment/study. Worked part time and didnt start making contributions much later in working life as he was a mature university student.............lots of things to think about.Lots to do. Lots to plan!
