I do love the sea Igamogam, but don't have good sea legs, I only like it from the land:rotfl: Some of our best memories are from days by the sea. Perhaps when we retire (if ever!) it will be a cottage by the sea.

Have a great week, that's a lot of extra work paperwork. Hope you get paid overtime!

Week to go to a couple of weeks off....feel I should be there already. Nothing planned except catch up with some friends. DD2 is away to foreign climes on a field trip and DD1 is working over Easter. So its just OH and me...the reality of chicks flying the nest........uuurgh:o.

Need to do a couple of big jobs over the hols which will involve getting a bit of cash in - have to do some plannning and I will have to persuade OH that cash will go towards a new-to-us second car - his head is in the sand unfortunately

Holidays have started - went to favourite eatery this morning with DD2 for posh breakfast. Dropped off some 'clothes 4 money' and got £5.50 and find out they take books..... will have to have a good clear out :) some things waiting for fr**gle pick up. Treated DD2 in TeeKayMax, been to the dentist,2 loads of washing on line, made a cake, evening meal from stores and the sun is shining :) Feeling hopeful.............

    Hello Igamogam,
I know you don't get overtime - it was tongue in cheek comment:p
If we all got paid overtime for the extra ours I don't suppose we would be in debt!:D I know lots of people in education just because the "holidays" are good to work around family.

Sales are looking great! you seem to consistently make a success of them. Keeping meaning to take a leaf out of your book....

It took me a while to get used to the empty nest, it has been lovely for the last to weeks because DD back home for Easter, and working on her dissertation at home :) Everything feels more normal.

Enjoy the sun, it's meant to be nice here too this weekend. Planning to spend some time pottering in the garden.

    Have a lovely weekend:)

I signed up with the MSE credit club a while back - TBH I have never looked at until today when I opened up an email and had a bit of time to read through...............so now I have submitted PPI claims on 2 loans I forgotten we ever had, found I had an old MBN@ CC closed over 10 years ago that had a credit balance of £8.50 on  - they have sat on that for 10 years. I know its only a piddly amount but that replicated many time over on a global scale...... and I whilst I was on a roll I finally submitted a claim on the phone for PPI on a CC which I still have but the PPI dates from 1986!

Feeling virtuous and just a little bit :money::money:

    :rotfl:

Meeting up with a friend later for a proper catch up over a cup of tea. NO cake as have a had a carby couple of days - always happens when I am not working - pasta/rice/noodle dishes 3 nights on the trot!! Will walk across fields and through woods to meeting place - community run tea/coffee shop - so will definitely get my 10 000 steps in and walk off those carbs :D

Lovely spring day here so morning spent in garden doing a bit of weeding/sorting. Dinner tonight will be from stores - have eggs bacon sausage mushrooms to use up - low carb :rotfl: so will feel back on track. happy to stay the same weight whilst I am off work but I really do not want it back on  Really must look at what we have in stores re food and make a proper meal plan. Could do with saving a bit of money for the rest of the month............

2 beach walks completed and 2 friends caught up with. 3 out of 4 days achieved the 10 000 steps goal :D

A to do list as long as my arm and the energy to tackle it - go me! A very strange feeling I must admit as for more years than I care to remember I have had a great deal of intention but felt wiped out most holidays, so just spent recharging.
