I'm so disappointed with myself. Various things (health, family) have got in the way and the decluttering just stalled. I'm trying to inspire myself reading about everyone's progress on here.Magnolia Stellata0

Havent been about as RL has been so incredibly busy. A couple of things have left the house but were a neutral ship out as they were items DD brought home to deliberately to put on eBay
* 372-373 items x 2 of my own put on eBay and have now left the building!
*374 packaging for the above
Need to really get back to it as the living room needs sorting more otherwise there will be no room for a Christmas tree!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Don't worry Stellata, we all have our down times. Just pick a spot and do a bit.
Happy Kitties, well done. As you can see from my last post, I am also neutral, but that is still good. I would have hung onto those DVDs and other things for years and years. They hung around for less than three weeks all together.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. A few bits and pieces sold on Ebay also so they've been posted and last one will be posted tomorrow.
Nothing else has been done here since I was last on, had a bit of a shock in the family last week and we're still trying to come to terms with it, and I've been ill this week so I'm just punching my week in till the weekend.

bit by bit, have a good time away & you are braver than I am - entrusting your husband to declutter :rotfl: I am far too much of a control freak to let my DH decide on any decluttering apart from his office & the garage :rotfl:
Frogletina, well done on keeping up the momentum :T It sounds like you have made a good job on your decluttering & I have absolutely no doubt that you will succeed in reaching your target
craftingmad - you never have to apologise for decluttering or posting about your decluttering well done on keeping up the momentum :rotfl:
stellata, no need to be disappointed in yourself - like bit by bit says, we all stall sometimes & posting on here will get you back on track Pick a corner and away you go
Happy Kitties, I have every faith that you will declutter the living room in plenty of time to put up your Christmas tree
Tuesday was a completely ‘ME’ day :rotfl: I met up with a male (D) & female friend (B) who 25 years ago were work colleagues but we became friends & up until 2 years ago we met up 3 or 4 times a year. This time it was a gap of at least 18 months as RL got in the way Had a nice pub lunch with coffees & a couple of drinks & lots & lots of catching up Then D departed as he had a train to catch and B & I had banks to visit, then we decided to have a couple of drinks & continue catching up. B has had a rough time the last few months so needed someone to talk to. Having left home at 10:40, I got back at 19:30 so no decluttering or housework :rotfl:
Wednesday has been another dry bright day & quite warm. Have sorted & listed the contents of both my freezers, written a menu plan, dealt with my post, fed the water birds in the dock, litter picked 33 items incl an empty Cognac bottle :rotfl:, did a small sm shop & walked both ways cleaned garage fridge + bagged meat in portions for freezer.
Crumpets from freezer for lunch & a bowl of hm soup with crusty bread for dinner. My lovely DH has phoned me twice tonight - when he arrived at Santander & then from the overnight ferry. He is very happy that the weather has been really good as he was on the motorbike :T Next time I will hear from him is in 24 hours when he arrives in Portsmouth.

Wow, so much great decluttering going on! Making room for Christmas seems to be popular.
I managed 3 more items last Sunday, 2 books to CS and one to rubbish. Last night I managed a further 2, both to recycling. Slow but going in the right direction.

Sorry forgot to post yesterday but I still got some decluttering done
It feels so good to just let things go and my house is already looking clearer and less cluttered - yipeee
So yesterday I finished a section in the hallway and got rid of 15 more items (Actually it was much more but I lost count again!) and sold two lava lamps we bought the kids for christmas last year but they never used (£5) and 11 wicker baskets from my craft show days (£7).
This evening I've started the dining room and I'm coming across all sorts of hidden treasures including a brand new box of Crackers so that's us sorted for Christmas 25 items to declare decluttered from there so far including a broken tin, two Christmas sweet tubs (sadly empty so no chocolate to chomp on while I'm decluttering, a couple of broken Christmas decorations and a bag of broken pegs (I have no clue either!).
So my current totals stand at:-

craftingmad - well done on keeping up the momentum :rotfl:
Thursday was quite a productive day & a nice bright day again :T
I vacuumed the whole house; paid credit card bill; phoned DSis in France; re-stacked DSis’s crates/boxes creating two feet more floor space in the dining room & emptying one crate :T; This crate has been relocated to spare room & filled with my stuff from a broken crate which is destined for the Tip; cooked Sausage Casserole from scratch; sourced 7 items, for cs, which have been cleaned & put in cs bag; baked a double batch of coconut biscuits.

My DH got home about 2:15 a.m. Friday - lots of cuddles & kisses :rotfl: He enjoyed his bowl of Sausage Casserole with crusty bread, stayed up chatting for an hour or so, then went to bed. Got up late Friday - DH emptied the motorbike & I got his clothing washed, dried in td (drizzled all day) & put away. Foodstuffs etc were put away & the bags were put in their correct place.
Saturday was a lovely sunny & bright day - DH spent the day watching practices for the last Moto GP Races of 2018, I visited a Craft Fair, did a small sm shop, washed DH’s motorcycle jacket & trousers using specialist cleaning & waterproofing products plus lots of knitting.
Sunday has been another bright & sunny day but cold. DH has been watching the Moto GP races & I am binge watching a series called A Discovery of Witches - a bit slow but I am thoroughly enjoying it :T
The housework, decluttering & mending projects have all been put on hold but are being resumed tomorrow :rotfl: DH & I will make the most of having the house to ourselves whilst my DSis is visiting in France :rotfl:
