Hello everyone, lots of posts to read, as I haven't been on here for a month, much to my surprise, it only seems about a week.

I have not removed a lot completely, but have an unused clothes rail for the charity shop, and a mock Le Creuset style casserole, which I find so heavy I don't really use. I am currently doing the under-stairs cupboard, which is where the clothes rail was lurking. I bought it, then was given a very nice wardrobe, so never used it.

I shall be back to comment later, this is the best motivator, because it is so clear that people find it a long and erratic process.
  • 1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY

    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)

    3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE DONE & PUT AWAY WITHIN AN HOUR OF FINISHING DINNER

    Still decluttering Rootle :T

Molillie, you are so right ‘a long & erratic process’

Not a particularly nice day weatherwise but the great bonus was I didn’t have to go out :T
DH & I scrubbed clean the new to me TV cabinet & DH got the DVD/VHS Player to work :T I have done my darning, cleaned all my light switches & all visible sockets. Put the armour back in DH’s motorcycle jacket & trousers. Dinner was a fry up - shallots, sausages, bacon, eggs & a tin of plum tomatoes with a couple of slices of bread - 😋

Re my 3 mantras: bed aired & made; washing up done; worktops washed down; general tidying

C1907 - C1910 Non recyclable - plastic tray & packaging, plastic bag, uu sponge scourer, bag of rubbish from DH’s office - Binned
C1911 - C1913 leaflets, card packaging, magazine read - Recycled
C1914 - C1917 Milk carton, two Food tins & lids, glass jar & metal lid - rinsed & recycled
C1918 - C1919 Empty electric razor/beard trimmer bag, hand knitted scarf - to CS
C1920 Small glass jar & lid washed & put in cupboard

    Happy decluttering :rotfl:

Damp, horrible, cold day :( but I did go out in it :rotfl: as did my DH. DH took his motorbike in for its MOT - passed with flying colours. He took the opportunity to buy a new pair of motorcycle boots & more importantly he had a fried breakfast for lunch :rotfl:
I dropped off one bag of donations at the CS (probably the last one for 2018) + a Christmas card, tried to feed the water birds from a new place but got bombarded by seagulls - so will go back to the usual place :rotfl: where the seagulls are not quite so aggressive :rotfl: Train to Lew*sh*m, posted cards & competition entries, got cash from ATM, bought meaty treats for the fox :rotfl: & on the off chance I went into M&S & they had one bra in the style & size that I thought would fit (after last week’s abortive attempt to buy a bra :() - Success :T - now I can order a couple more on-line :T or at least get my lovely DH to order :rotfl: BUT still no joy on a small plastic funnel - 3 shops now :( I also emptied one shelf of the larder & started a menu plan.

Re my 3 mantras: bed aired & made; washing up done; worktops washed down; general tidying

Better day today - mainly dry, bright & sunny but chilly.
DH filled the bird & squirrel feeders & also put up a special shelf for the telephone & router :T
I polished the new to me TV cabinet, also completely sorted my food cupboards including the Brexit cupboard - decanted & consolidated several foodstuffs & everything listed. Started knitting a baby blanket which I will be donating to the CS.

Re my 3 mantras: bed aired & made; washing up done; worktops washed down; general tidying

    Well done stellata :T

Keeping stuff moving out Happy Kitties :T - well done :T

Nice to see you, Wanna Bee Free :D well done on keeping stuff moving out :T

Thursday has been a dry day but overcast & cold.
DH has been given the all clear on his eye :T:T Treated himself to a fried breakfast :rotfl: DH also moved the TV cabinet - tomorrow we will transfer TV etc from the coffee table. He also spent some time working on the motorbike - he is adding fog lights :D My DH is a ‘365 days of the year’ biker :rotfl: none of that namby pamby ‘summer only’ biking :rotfl:

I have been quite busy today - cleaned oven doors inside & out, sorted storage above fridge freezer (found a couple of items for cs), did an initial sort out of a box file leading to some shredding & recycling, walked to sm, past the dock & fed the mute swans, coots, mallards & the ubiquitous seagulls :D I also picked up 84 pieces of litter. Posted a letter (MrA has a P.O. Box in store :T) Shopped & got bus back. Everything packed away, wrapped 2 XMas pressies, made dinner which was all from freezer/food stores & fed the fox :rotfl: Then I washed, rinsed & dried all the kitchen Cupboard fronts, kickboards, skirting boards & used specialist wipes to clean all the stainless steel in the kitchen :D

Re my 3 mantras: bed aired & made; washing up done; worktops washed down; sugar bowl refilled; relocated several items to garage; general tidying
