Candygirl, thanks for the kind wishes & the day was fab
I have been very remiss in both reading & posting on the daily thread - so I need to get my ‘arris in gear :rotfl: & get back into the swing
Candygirl, Sorry 2018 is to quote the Queen an “Annus horribilis” but at least there are only 33 days to go.
Please try and make a bit of time to spoil yourself - whether it be a relaxing bubble bath or snuggling up on the sofa with a good book or a film & a glass of somethingor whatever it is that makes you smile & feel contented.
To be perfectly honest, I am in a holding pattern too re decluttering, just trying to keep rooms tidy & picking up & putting away any items that have a place.
Here’s hoping that 2018 ends quite well for you & that 2019 is the start of ‘anni mirabiles’ (wonderful years)

521-540 things from my food cupboard well in date which I won't use soon, some donated by kind friend. Took to food bank. (Anyone know if this is ok or does it have to be new stuff? Will they throw it out if it's not suitable?)
541-550 men's toiletry items in a gift bag left by XP. Unopened obv and in display box. Gave to food bank too as shower gel shampoo etc
551-564 empty cardboard boxes to recycling
565 oven tray sold on fb
566 toaster to daughter
567-71 broken plant pots off patio to tip
I'm not at home for Xmas but DS will come and stay for a few days after, he lives abroad and I rarely see him so I want it to be nice for when he's here. Have made good progress now on "spare" room, got a new bed in there so trying to sell old folding bed now.Magnolia Stellata0 -
The following has given me an empty cupboard shelf so my actifyer is now living on it
To CS

223 - 223) - 1 Pringle crisp bowl
224 - 230) 7 Tupperware containers

My 9 year decided to experiment with slime so some containers have been filled with glue
so in the bin goes
234 - 248) -15 lids without the bases
249 - 258) - 10 bases with out lids - they don't marry with above
eta
Just to clarify - she did have permission, she used the Ikea ones that I didn't care for and she now has to buy her own from Home Bargains.

583-585 3 socks with no partnerMagnolia Stellata0 -

4-9 6 Moroccan tea glasses sold on FB for £5
10-17 8 cookery books to the CS

I have a small funnel I have never found a use for, you are welcome to it if you would like it.0 -
1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)
3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE DONE & PUT AWAY WITHIN AN HOUR OF FINISHING DINNER
Weather is definitely becoming worse - damp, drizzly but surprisingly warm
Re my 3 mantras: bed aired & to be made; washing up done; one load of clothing washed, dried & put away; some baking done; sugar bowl refilled; coffee jar refilled; general tidying
Week 1: Monday = 1, Tuesday = 1 + motorbike full of metal, cables, empty paint tins etc from garage; Wednesday = 1 + several delivery boxes broken down & recycled so Running Total = 5
Thursday = 1, Friday = 1, Saturday = 1, Sunday = 1 + couple of items in cs bag.
Grand Total = 10
Happy decluttering
