    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all in fine fettle today! :D I had a wonderful time
yesterday working away in the garden. jardinage0.gif

We're meant to have rain today but nothing yet. Apparently
it will be starting at precisely 8.00am! :p :rotfl:

Hopefully I'll just make it back indoors after my walk, but
    I'll still take my brolly!

Many thanks for the link sheils - absolutely fabulous photo
of the Red Arrows! Always love seeing them, makes me
    feel very patriotic!

Hope your GS enjoys his first day at High School rose. My
eldest granddaughter starts big school (that's what she calls
it - she's almost 5! :rotfl:) come September.

Well must get on, have a lovely & lucky day all and please
    take care whatever your plans.

Alfie you have been busy. Hope you make it home before 8am rain. We are forecast rain too. Just looked up 9 am here. Just when we have GS today.

Rose hope your GS has a good start at high school. They do seem to grow up fast.

Indie so pleased to hear your nephew and boys are going away for a break. Hope you have some days rest too.

Yesterday I had a WEM for a Dead Good Book one of 57 Inspector Maigret books.

Hope everyone has a good and luck day.

    Morning all

Going to be a nice day here although not going to get that warm.
Need to get washing up to date and still got DS3's bed to get changed from the other week.

Looks like everyone is going to make it up to Portmahomack on Monday and Tuesday and most managing to stay until Friday. Quite excited as the holiday house is just across the road from the beach. DS2's gf says the house is beautiful. Just need some dry weather for it.

I couldn't believe the photo Alfie. The artist had been trying to get that photo for years I think.

Gosh are the schools back already rose? Don't have any contact with schools now but just had a look and ours go back on Tuesday.
The summer has just gone past in a flash.

Well done on the win leanfun - glad someone is winning!

You will feel it quiet in house without your nephew indie! Hope you get everything done.

Hope things are going ok FF (if you manage to pop in) Thinking of you.

    Must get on.Good Luck everyone.

Yaaaaaaaay sun is out but I can see dark clouds in the distance. Hopefully they will head in another direction. Don't want rain as I am heading out for an hour later. DIL is picking me up to go to bank and pick up a few things. Hip is a bit stiff and sore so trying to get it moving.

Morning folks. No rain so far had a bit late last evening. Have GK'[s later in the afternoon after school. DIL is working and their other gran is nightshift so she will need a sleep before heading out. No phone call yet about DS being on his way home. Going to try and get over to shop in about half an hour for a newspaper and milk. Have a cross body bag that I can use to carry them as it is hopeless trying with crutches. Anyway hope I find you all well FF hope you and hubby are managing ok. Take care folks.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok on this glorious Friday - looks as if it'll
be a mix of sunshine & light clouds here today with no rain ....
    unlike yesterday!

Well leanfun .... things didn't quite go to plan! :p

After too much dithering & faffing about, it was actually 8.00 by
the time I left for my walk. They were spot on with the forecast -
it started to rain - light & refreshing, or so I thought.

Except ... 15 mins into the walk it suddenly started to blow a
hooley with lashings of rain! Got absolutely soaked but
decided to carry on regardless, (I had previously said I would
still get a daily trot in, come rain or shine!).

The added bonus though was walking past quite a large
gathering of gorgeous ponies, all busily munching on grass.
    Made me smile.

We're having quite a few problems with tourists feeding the
ponies at this time of year, which is such a big no no (at any
    time).

Hope you had a good day with GS.

:j & well done on winning another brilliant book prize. I love
    a good read. :D :j :T

All the preparations for your DHs birthday bash sound wonderful
sheils ... am I right in thinking it's his 70th this year? Love the
sound of the holiday house just across from the beach. :T

Hope the rain stayed away for you yesterday rose & you
managed to get out & about. Also hope your hip isn't feeling
so stiff and sore this morning. Brilliant idea using a cross body
bag to put your bits & pieces in. :T I can remember doing the
same when I was on crutches.

Has anyone been watching Paul O'Grady's Little Heroes (ITV,

Bit dark and cloudy looking here this morning. Got loads washing dried yesterday including DS3's bedding but got another load in machine just now (sigh!) Even did some ironing yesterday.

Had to laugh at you getting soaked Alfie (sorry) We started to head out yesterday too and a downpour started but we came back in until it stopped whch was just as well as it got really bad.
Yes, you are right it is DH's 70th on 23rd. It is so difficult to get everyone together to celebrate when 2 are chefs and it is nearly the Bank holiday.
Trying to find somewhere to stay on the way back that we don't need a mortgage to pay for. Only reasonable prices are out of our way.
Loved seeing the New Forest ponies when we were down your way. Saw the Dartmoor ones last year too. Will have a look at your comp when I finish posting this, thanks.

Hope you manage your shopping ok rose. You will be looking forward to your son getting back. Have fun with the GKs.

Must get on, hoping to visit parents later.

EDIT :- Was told I should adopt a tiger Alfie. Funny, as they are my favourite animals

Morning. Ho Alfie sorry there was a Hooley on your walk. Sadly like Sheils I had a smile reading about it. Hope you are ok.

When the children were young we drove through the New Forest and stopped. The children sat at a picnic table with snacks and drinks. For some reason DH stood away from the table, he was not holding anything, and a pony came up and turned and kicked him quite hard.

Did not watch the programme but do rate Psul Ogrady. Alfie I did see your comp last night. I suddenly thought am I on a comping page? This looks like an Alfie post but no pics.

Rose hope you make it to shop with no rain and pain is easing. Have a good afternoon with GKs they will have a lot to tell you. Hope you hear from DS soon.

Sheils next week sounds great. So good to have family together to celebrate. Hope you find your parents well.

Firefly take care we are all thinking of you and DH. You will be pleased ithe weather is not so hot.

No GS for two weeks while DD1 is on holiday DS is coming for weekend.

Hope everyone has a good and lucky weekend.

Morning folks. Been raining again overnight. Hopefully it will be dry during the day. Again not cold and plants are looking good. Will have to sort out tubs etc in a few weeks time and get spring bulbs in. Have ordered up some minature conifers and bushes for them so will have some winter interest along with snowdrops. Hope everyone is ok. Be lucky folks and have a nice weekend.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

I hope you're all well - I think we're in for run of fairly
pleasant weather days down my way. soleilnuage.gif

Went out walking again yesterday morning - thankfully it was
drier than the other day! :p Must admit, I did look like a drowned
rat coming back that day! :rotfl::rotfl: Luckily, I have a good
    sense of humour! :D
