So Alexa can be all over the house now lol and show pictures films etc as well as answering questions. Just got to get them their individual smaller presents now. Bought it from QVC as it is on at just short of £115. It is £199.99 on amazon.

Sheils well done on your theatre ticket win. You really are going to have a busy few days. We have been to John OGrates, just remember it being really windy and Culloden a big field. What I do remember from the Nirth Cosat was stopping for a picnic and seeing a frigate and then watching Britannia coming in with the Queen. She was off to tea at the castle of May with the Queen Mother.
Love the highlands do hope you have some fine weather.

Great bargain Rose and brilliant Christmas present. Smiled at you fluttering eyelashes enjoy.

Late yesterday afternoon I had an email to say I had entered a Kylie competition some time ago and that they had drawn the winners but in an administrative error had not notified them. Asked if I still wanted the tickets for September concert. I have said yes please, so we shall see. Comp was 5 months ago!

    Take care everyone.

Evening everyone. Have to ask you a question. Do you own a slow cooker? I do and wash the crock pot out with warm soapy water. Thats all it takes nothing sticks to it. Now saw on facebook someone asking where was the cheapest place to buy slow cooker liners. Am I missing the point here? Why would you want them?

Hi, don't very often pop in here these days but saw this and had a Google.
You can, apparently, get liners at all the supermarkets.
The article HERE suggests why you might want to use them. I suspect it's more for people who only use dishwashers and can't be bothered with doing it by hand.

Bob I have a dishwasher but certain things I do not put in it. (bought it beacause I used to come home everyday to piles of washing up that no one else thought to do)Glass and ceramics can be scratched so they do not go in. I just think it is very lazy to use these liners. Never seen them in any supermarket. Maybe I go about shopping on auto pilot and do not pay attention to anything I am not buying lol. Hi firefly nice to see you in the Inn.

    Same here fire**fly/rose. I own/use a crock pot & just wash mine
out with soapy water - have never heard of liners. Many thanks
Bob for clearing up the 'liner' mystery! :T

Lovely to 'see' you fire**fly. :A xxx

Well done with the tickets win leanfun, even with the 'slight'
    delay! :T :D

:santa2: I can beat you rose - already got some Christmas
pressies tucked away. :j Well done on your 'fluttering eyelash'
    mascara win! :T :rotfl:

Congrats on winning doggy munchie treats & £50 Ticketmaster
code sheils! :T Using the code to see War Horse at the theatre
sounds a wonderful idea. Like you, I've seen the film (DVD) &
got the book but never watched a live show. Seen brilliant
reviews though. The story always reduces me to tears - so moving.

Have a brilliant break away & enjoy the birthday celebrations! _party_
    Safe journey. x

Hope everyone has a lovely & relaxing Sunday and please
    take care whatever your plans.

Overnight rain has now stopped and sky has brightened up a bit. Well done on win leanfun. I am a tad tired this morning . These 5am wakeups are not doing me any good. Went to bed at 10pm last night read for a while put light off around 12.30 but made no difference, 5.08 eyes opened. Have tried warm baths, relaxing and lavender oil (all that did was make me sneeze) but to no avail. Oh well onwards and upwards as they say lol.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

    Hope you're all well - can't believe that it's Monday already -
    where did the weekend go?

It's back to walking again for me today, had the weekend off -
so looking forward to going out this morning to say hi to the
ponies. On the plus side it's also dry and no rain forecast! :D

My favourite programme ended on Saturday 'A Year in the New
Forest'. Brilliant documentary. Anyway, I'd been discussing it
with another poster on the Betty thread who'd also been
following it. In my reply I was searching for a suitable pic (as
per usual :p), and as luck would have it, came across this:

Had a search on the comp forum & could only find one
posted earlier, so here's my contribution:

    Happy, happy, happy days! :j :T :j
