    It's duplicitous charging for the same offence. As has been said already, for totting purposes it would be 3ppts.

    Can I say it this time? This thread is 7 years old! :D

    Although, 7 years further on, you still can't get a fine or points for the condition of your spare tyre.

    Ahh, but could you get points or a fine?

    And what if I start a tyre brand called "Bald" (easy enough to do - the Chinese factories will brand them as whatever you want)? Would they still be illegal even when they had new tread depth?
