    Not only him - it's become the Thread that Never Dies. Every site should have one of those and, at least in this case, there is a serious message behind it because it does act as a reminder to check tyres.

    Although, I'm a bit worried about the OP. He hasn't been back to reply for a few years. Hope he didn't slide off the road, or get arrested and sent to spend quality time with Bubba!

    I think you should check your tyres regardless of social events and distance driven. Its not hard.

    Blimey, is it spring already? Doesn't time fly!

    Good advice about checking your tyres btw - don't forget to include the spare, especially when planning a long journey.

    Just checked my tyres again. I think I will need a new one in the next couple of months, the canvas is starting to show through.

    Very good point! I've completely forgotten to check since the last reminder around Christmas and they were a little low back then.
