GCs PCs - DO NOT BUY FROM [Removed]

http://www.gcspcs.co.uk/store/index.php
I just wanted to post this to warn any others of being scammed by this 16 year old fraudster.
I am one of many people who have been caught up in a very frustrating problem with GC's PC's. Most customers have all paid for items and never recieved them, yet more money is being withdrawn from their accounts. I however received the wrong item.
The problem is, ********* r, the owner of this site, is impossible to get in contact with.
There is no address on the website, and the address you can find on CompaniesHouse.com is that of a Solicitors and they have refused to have any contact with ******** anymore.
The 'call-you-back' phone service on their site was once working, but of course no one ever calls you back. Now the phone line is dead.
There is a support section on the site, yet no one replies. Even worse, they will charge you an extra £6.70 for posting more than one ticket in the support section.
It has now become clear that a lot of his Terms and Conditions are unlawful and unfair.
No one is getting any response from him, I figure he has spent all of the money he got which is why no one can get any refunds.

For anyone reading this that has been mislead by this website too, I suggest:

1) Contact Trading Standards Essex
2) Make a claim via MCOL for your loss ( http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/onlineservices/mcol/ )
3) Spread the word about GC's PC's to prevent more people falling into the same trap.

I hope this helps anyone in a similar situation and shows some truth about this site.;)

One look at the layout of the website and the prices is enough to put me off straight away.

I am also another person experiencing the same problem. I posted a thread elsewhere on this forum, but I want to make sure that no one else goes through what we are going through!

Good luck to everyone trying to get their money back

Hi have just had a couple of reader complaints about this site .. have looked at terms and conditions and they are seriously unbelievable in parts.. this young guy - have googled him - is breaking consumer statutory laws with some of his charges as far as I can tell - and I write about these consumer law breaches constantly.. I am going to try to get a hold of him for some form of comment - have already contacted OFT because I can't believe what I was reading - but if he is taking that much money as the news reports suggest, he needs to get this right - anyone here wants to give me any info on any problems they have had with him, please contact me

    You mean these ones?:

3.6 Orders flagged as high risk may be subject to a fraud check for which £49.99 GBP in favour and towards the costs of doing so.

3.5 If your invoice address or delivery address is suspicious, outside the UK, rest of Western EU, Australia or New Zealand we reserve the right to make up to a £47 GBP surcharge towards the costs of extra administration, increased cost in contacting the customer, fraud checks, and high risk transactions.

5.4 Your order if flagged as high risk, may be subject to a fraud check. These will be underdone by a senior member of staff charged at £85 per hour charged per 15 minutes.

6.3 Except in the case of faulty, mis-described or substitute goods that haven’t been confirmed by the consumer, if you cancel after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to the Supplier at your own cost. Goods that are no longer required but still returned will be charged a rate of £8.60 per day storage from 01/01/09 (any dates before will be charged at the original £2.70 per day)

10.5 A minimum of £8.90 will be charged to cover staff wages for ordering your product and cannot be refunded.

13.1 Any outgoing calls that require a non-witheld number or outside the UK will be charged at £4.99 for the first 15 minutes and £1 per 5 minutes thereafter due to the costs of doing so.

And there are even more 'interesting' terms......
1.7 You are not permitted to have more than one support ticket simultaneously due to confusion and congestion of our support channel. Any subsequent tickets are automatically deleted. You may not submit a delivery query until after 7 days of payment. Due to repeat offenders who continue and persist although advised to only have one ticket, remain blocking our system, delaying response time and causing errors, will now be chargeable for our costs at £6.70 per ticket.

So if you have problems with more than one product at a time and submit this information, they can fine you??

    Other interesting ones:

1.11 If you issue a chargeback or goods/services not received before consulting with ourselves, it is prosecutable and for the administration of each form for us to complete you will be charged £26.

2.2 The goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the goods you have ordered are not available in stock we will not accept your order. If after acceptance or job order the Supplier discovers within [7 days] of our acceptance of your order that the goods are unavailable we may terminate the contract and 100% refund that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods (due to fees, NOCHEX is excluded). See 'deliveries and orders' for the latest
    information.

So if you pay by nochex and then they cancel the order because they don't have the stock, they won't refund the order in full???? There seems to be a similar exclusion within their section 4.5 from refunding payment made by nochex - when returning items using the Distance Selling Regulations..........

7.1 All goods supplied by the Supplier are warranted free from defects for 28 days from the date of ordering (unless otherwise stated i.e. memory cards and mobile phones - these come as end-of-line) with a 7 day money back guarantee. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Any items with a manufacturers warranty need to be redeemed through the manufacturer or relevant service points. GC's PC's has the right to control or change this contract and any returns

Only 28 day warranty on new goods. And from the date of ordering too, so it could be a lot less!

I would not even consider buying anything from this site - the terms and conditions are the worst I have ever seen........

I spoke to ******* last night and he is adamant that the Ts and Cs were verified by Trading Standards and a solicitor; so my view that they breached statutory law was wrong.

Also as I am not a qualified lawyer and only a journalist specialising in consumer law my views and work in this area count for nothing apparently.

So to dismiss the claim about verification from Trading Standards. They told me that in no way would they or did they verify Ts and Cs from a company but they may look at them. If they did look at ********s then they were not verified. He and the company are under investigation by Trading Standards and they wish to talk to him.. any complaints should be sent to them via Consumerdirect (www.consumerdirect.gov.uk). I would point out to them that an investigation is ongoing.

Since, according to ********, I am not 'qualified' to speak on this subject of consumer law, I have put his Ts and Cs to the OFT and a lawyer for comment.

********* also was at pains to say that he always replied to customers and people contacting the geographical address only did so because they were unwilling to pay him the additional charge per new ticket number - he used a very uncomplimentary term about customers who did this.

But he said people with a complaint would get better service if they emailed legal@gcspcs.co.uk. He didn't mention if he would make a charge for a new ticket by the way. He was insistent that I should give people this email address if they had a complaint.
