Sky seem to eager to combine line/broadband with tv,as I suspected when doing a survey some months ago and illustrated by their requiring recontracting or new take up of tv to get a broadband/line offer.

This takes away the bargaining power you had with separate contracts. eg broadband requiring two weeks' less notice meant you could cancel tv ,then shop around for broadband deals to bargain with, tv offers being before or after switch off as the contracts wee independent.

I think i have an ok deal today having cancelled a week ago.
    2 TB Sky Q
    Multi room
    Variety pack
    Unlimited fibre broadband
    Anytime calls

£64 monthly with no equipment or set up costs.

It's better than their new customer offering.

I dont think that is a good deal.
    Fibre/rental/calls is £33.
    Multi is £12.
Variety is £25( i maybe wrong and it might be more). I am going off the Sky black Friday web page.
So that works out at £70 so not much of a discount.
You should get at least 30% tv package discount as you have cancelled a week ago.
Tou seem happy with that deal so that is all that matters.

    Fibre/rental/calls is £33, full price is £47(?)
Variety is £25, full price is £32
Plus £12 multi room, full price = £91

Yup, I'm happy. It's better than the new customer offering and includes the black friday stuff, a bit extra off plus no installation.
For a new customer it'd have been £70 a month with £85 set up and it's a big upgrade on what we had (normal box (not HD),no multiroom, normal not fibre broadband) and we were paying £70 a month. The only thing I have to pay is £10 deliver on a router. I work from home and we move next week so didn't have time to muck about and couldn't cancel until we had a definite move date because of needing it for work.

    I got mine today.

    pre renewal package:
box sets, sports, cinema, non fibre broadband, including line rental

    £36 per month

The first guy i spoke to was helpful and nice enough but he didnt carry any clout, I was offered i think £82 per month for the same package

I then gave the old cancellation speech

Transferred to a girl called Stephanie, she was really helpful.

Ended up getting 50% off TV package, fibre broadband for i think £6.50 a month

so ill be paying £62 per month

nowhere near as little as i paid last year but im reasonably satisfied, Im more pleased with the fact that I was treated well than the eventual price. Plus im gaining fiber BB whereas i never had it before.

I didnt go down the cut off and cancellation route, the 50% offer was better than i had read here and My next bill of £108 is due in about 3 days. i couldnt be bothered doing any more. I doubt it would have made a difference.

so yeah full package, including fiber and line rental £64

This is Sky Plus HD. I contacted them via Sky chat and asked what the best deal was before i looked elsewhere. Asked if i had received any offers, yes 50% off but didn't want to pay that much. Offer 60% off but with a £10 admin charge. I said if he removes the admin charge i would accept, which he did.
