Thanks Cath. DS2 has been great with the antibiotics and seems to recovering really quickly. I think we got him in the early stages before it had taken proper hold. He isn't eating great and says it only hurts when he yawns so we're over the worst of it now Id say.

I managed a run yesterday which felt great, if a little heavy in the legs with those hills around work. I have a morning in work tomorrow with a pretty big presentation at 12 and then its afternoon off and an easy day on Friday (which is very needed as this week feels like its been a long long week). I've managed to keep finding an item each day to bin or charity shop and I feel quite pleased that the house is feeling better. I reckon by the end of Feb I'll be really happy with it, and maybe just maybe Mrs SJ will tackle her drawers and wardrobe...hmmm!

11p TT this morning which was quite disappointing, but only 2 days until payday and then I can see the real effects of payrise, amended salary sacrifice and then updated work contribution to pension. I've been itching to adjust my spreadsheet and budget, and at last there's less than 48hrs of the wait to go :D.

Ooh yes, all those changes will need careful adjustments. My adjustments will be minimal in May when my 1.79% pension increase is applied. It is the one thing about stopping work that i regret - the big changes that sometimes happen. Even my MFiT T5 updates have slowed to a crawl (just done Q4 form)

E-payslip has landed, woo hoo! I've had a quick look and all was as expected, so just weighing up when to start my spreadsheet adjustments... I'm intending on an early afternoon finish so may do it at home, or I may not be able to wait that long and I do it in work!

42p TT this morning as well.

They are fantastic for motivation and for keeping momentum during the mid month slump!

I managed to delay spreadsheet adjustments till 7pm last night , and I'm now all set for 2020, with some loose targets over the next 10yrs. Whilst it was payday I also had the joyful task of a £170 OP which consisted of £125 that we had loaned off ourselves to pay for 2 new cars (only £1,075 left to pay ourselves back) and £45 that is a mortgage payment round up.

So far this morning I've watched some tennis, washed our bedding (2 loads), 3 mile dog walk, and now sat watching cricket contemplating the assault on my wardrobe (several charity bags are already in situ waiting to do their duty)!

Delighted to see the MFiT-T5 chart, and especially delighted to see that I'm still in green! Long may it continue!! A great longer term challenge.

Also a nice reminder that I am going to calculate Networth in line with reporting every 3 months on this challenge.

My wardrobe and all drawers attacked. 2 charity bags full and ready for drop off on Monday. I must say however that I still seem to have far too many clothes (and I probably have 10% of what Mrs SJ has)!!

Hugely successful day of decluttering. I attacked some kitchen drawers first which resulted in 1 carrier bag for the bin. Then I moved onto DD's pjs, then I tackled my wardrobe and set of drawers, and then finally the bags of kids clothes in the garage (previously kept to pass down, and then hand on to friends and including stuff that people have given to us but hasn't made it into circulation). I do seem to be making Mrs SJ consider her clothes so I've taken some bags upstairs just in case! Incidentally I also slotted in 2 dog walks (1 big, 1 small), an hour of jigsaw with DD, a grandparent visit for an hour and a 3.5 mile run! Rewarding my smugness now with a couple of ice cold beers and a Mrs SJ homemade curry!

    So leaving the house:
    - 3 charity bags full of clothes - all in the boot ready for Monday
    - 2 extra large sports kit bags to CS
    - 2 carrier bags of rubbish in the bin
    - 1 bin bag of work clothes to be handed on to colleagues who need old clothes for dirty and cold jobs
    - 1 large bag of kids clothes for passing onto friends
    - A huge pile of old journal articles into recycling

Its amazing how eager it makes you to look for other things to get rid of! Not sure I can top todays effort tomorrow...so I think I'll just tackle the mountain of kids coats that we seem to have harvested (Mrs SJ will have to help on this one, which again may nudge her conscience)! On second thoughts I'm certain I spotted a high chair in the garage that we no longer need (it was already 2nd hand so owes nothing and may only be fit for the tip)...off to investigate!

Regarding the high chair - please consider whether a local hall might be able to take it - our Village Hall now has (a second hand) one that was kept at a Grannies house that can be pulled out when lunches or coffee mornings need it.
