  • Its been a few days since I've logged on. The only things happening have been daily TT's. My TT pot for the week amounted to £4.66, which I then rounded up to £5.00 and promptly dispatched to mortgage.

Half term is upon us and we have to confess to being under prepared for it this time round!

I agree with KC about that strap-line - it should be in your signature IMHO. Have a great half-term week
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread
My keep within our budget diary is here
  • Thank you KC and SL. Without revealing what I do or what industry I work in my seminar was about Interdisciplinary Considerations, and we were looking into how to utilise the whole team to have greater strategic direction and responsibility. I always write the word Hope on the whiteboard. Too often, in my industry, people seem to hope that things work out and then blame eveything but their (lack of) planning when it doesn't.

The more I think about it, its just as important with our finances. Rather than my signature it should probabaly be the title of my thread (which I really dislike now) :/

Have you investigated whether you can change it now we have a new forum?

I’ve always been intrigued by what you do - the long hours, weird shifts, and it sounds very interesting!
Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

  • I think I'll investigate. Its perhaps an appropriate point as yr 5 ends of diary.

Defining my job is a challenge in its self at times...

  • Well I finally tackled the shelving unit. Carrier bag of junk to the bin. A few things for CS and 8 Nintendo 3ds games for Ebay (you never know we may £2  each). I'll pop on tonight and give them 4 lists, any non sales will go to CS.

  • A few things to report:
     * Firstly I appear to have changed the name of my diary!
     * Secondly I've listed the games in a bundle and they received a bid within 10mins of listing  :) I also listed the console case, but not optimistic on that one.

Love the new title of your diary Jimmy. I used to work for a boss that always used to say "you can't just kick the ball and hope " I think it means the same thing and something that resonates with me being a bit of a planner ( surely not  :D )
