Washout here, too - although I have taken advantage of the fact we've got no plans to attack DS2's room with him. It's not finished yet, but we have made good progress and a decent amount of stuff has left his room as a result (insert jumping smiley) DS3 even voluntarily got in on the act and sorted out loads of cars/ planes etc to go too!

I also spent some time dealing with a troublesome slow sink drain. Started with soda crystals and boiling water for 2 rotations. Then got a wire down there and had a prod around but didn't drag anything out. Then finished with some bicarb and white vinegar. Overall it did the trick. So whilst I was there I decluttered the cabinet which included a tub of cream for one of the kids (I think it was for shingles) dated 2017! Cabinet is a wall one which has seen better days and I will be removing it and chucking it away at the weekend.
Financially I TT'd 80p this morning. Payday is 5 days away so edging closer to some money shuffles and spreadsheet shenanigans.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £61,892.24......

I love my little chromebook, and had assumed I may get 10yrs out of it. Ah well better to know now than get hit with the nasty surprise. You can check with KK's link when your lovely little chromebook will end its life (that sounds so sad, and dramatic)and when you get the message - "its your last update", it feels just as it sounds. My next one will hopefully last to Mid summer of 2026 as I tried to get one that would last the longest, using the link that KK gave. For me - got to look on the bright side - still a bargain, as works out at under £40 a year and got a free google mini nest.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.194 -
Built in obsolescence makes me so cross! There’s no actual reason for Chromebooks to stop working after such a short time - there’s nothing wrong with the hardware, I dare say. And 6 years is very poor - I’ve recently had notification that my MS Office 2010 will stop working in October. It’ll be 10 years old and even then I won’t need to buy new hardware. That’s very poor from Google 😡
That being said AFK, I’m sure no one blames you! You weren’t to know (I mean, who would expect it to only if last that long?)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks, themadvix - unlike KK - I wasn't told it would last 20 years, just assumed, but as new and just on the market, didn't think to ask, it is still workable, but they scare you saying no security and there is the worry of bugs, so now just used for browsing, no banking, or buying will be done on it now, where they need your bank details.Like you say, makes me cross as well, just another ploy for sales figures. Nothing build to last these days !!! ughh, how old do I feel stating that !!!Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.195

Right enough of the negative chromebook talk... Lets think positively, so far mine has cost me £30 a year so massively cheaper than a laptop which I wouldn't use anywhere near the amount of stuff on them.
Right we've approached the weekend and sadly I'm working for most of it. But at least it'll be raining and I'm not missing sun bathing time . 64p TT this morning and funnily enough we have £64 left in the account ahead of Tuesday payday. We do have food shop to buy so we will dip into overdraft by about £30 for 24hrs. I have got a fair amount of expenses to claim but forgot to do them in time, so I'll get a double account boost in March.
We have 8 days left of year 5 of the dairy, which is astounding. And then whilst we've been mentioning Feb 29th, do we get charged for interest on that day? I presume the answer is yes but I can live in hope...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £61,892.24......
