Poor you, with the lurgy again
hope you don't need to rush around too much if you're in there on your own.
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Constrained myself to the rec center toward the beginning of today, making it each morning before work this week. This used to be my standard when I would go with my mate yet as I don't have a rec center pal, the onus is on me and in some cases my requirement for an additional couple of hours kip ends up as the winner. Anyway, this is a propensity I would like to proceed with for 2020. taff, I may require some of Mr Motivators inspiration to support me!0

Karma - unfortunately lurgy is inevitable when you work with kids and then come home to 3 more I suppose.
Well I found some work motivation in the end, and even nipped for a small 3 mile trot at lunchtime to get some fresh air in. I completed and logged my expenses so that will be a boost before DS1s birthday.
In locating DS2s football kit for tonight and tomorrow I had a mini sort out of his drawers. There's half a charity bag of stuff there and i have 2 more drawers that I'll blitz tomorrow. New fridge is being delivered so I have a short window in between work and football to have the old one emptied and dragged outside ready for a tip run. Am determined to get a snooze whilst DS2 is at a party and the other 2 are with Mrs SJ at GPs.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Well I've been missing a bit this week. First week back in work after 3 weeks off and as usual I get hit with all kinds. I then missed a day for a funeral and have now been walloped with the lurgy again! So I'm sat in the office (thankfully only me in today) with little or no motivation - MSE forums to the rescue!
Financials - Mrs SJ payday today which gives a much needed boost to the current account. I sent £50 to our EF as we seem to have leaked a bit out of it last year and I've been a bit slow to replenish. Nothing major and we've only used it for what its intended (new washing machine, new fridge and so on). This mornings TT was 69p.
My declutter something everyday quest continues and this morning I added 2 chairs, that were well past their used by date, to the tip on my way to work (I drive past it so I have no excuse for not going) to yesterdays donation of an old kids bike to a friends little boy. My clothes, DS2's wardrobe, DDs wardrobe and the garage are the next major ones to tackle!
Ugggh, the lurgy bug - Well at least my bug is a good one
You are doing well with the decluttering :T Oh, that's another bug.
Hope you feel better soon.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Well snooze never happened due to the fridge delivery time and me then needing to have all the clan for the afternoon!! Anyway the priority was to clear the other fridge out and get new one in place etc.... No mean feat when its a tall larder fridge and I have to lift on my own with my short t-rex arms!! Timings around DS2 football and the party he was going to didn't work out for the tip run, but its now all loaded up in the car ready for a run in the morning (including all the packaging from the new one). Mrs SJ is happy so all is good.
To go alongside the 2 drawers I did last night that are cleared for charity we've also got a bag full of under wear that is too small for both DSs, and a bag full of carp from the one of the 2 hallway draws of terror. Decluttering continues!!
99p TT as well. Early night for me as been up since 3am with my blocked nose, sore throat and cough!!! Oh pooch has fell out with me as I mistimed his walk and we got drenched...oops!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Loving the decluttering Jimmy. I find it really cathartic and sort of makes me feel calmer in a weird sort of way. I sorted out one of my wardrobes whilst listening to a long and boring teleconference this week ( multi tasking !) I just need a charity shop run, Mr Mee to do a tip run and the bin men to empty the recycling now.0

Sunday evening soon comes round doesn't it? £1 TT this morning and then my weekly TT pot overpayment. I rounded up a few extra pence to make it £3, which the mortgage and current accounts tidy.
This morning I undertook the tip run job to get rid of the fridge. That gave me extra motivation to get cracking on some more clutter attacks. I sorted the last 2 of DS2s drawers and then the bottom of his wardrobe, and then this morning moved onto DS1. Wardrobes are now tidy and organised and I have 2 full bags for charity and 2 bags for the bin. There's 2 shelves to look at next weekend which are full of games, some which have been inherited. I'd say 80% don't get used and I expect a charity run will be in order. I did find a fantastic jigsaw that I have no recollection of us having (must have been inherited) and DD has been doing it all afternoon.
Busy - i totally understand the calm feeling, and I'm determined that we won't let it get out of hand again...!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Sorry your weekend has ended
though you sound like you've kind of worked through most of it! Admirable levels of decluttering
and totally agree with you and Busy Mee that its both cathartic and calming - just that sense of greater space, and order, its lovely.
