Oh Skinty, that's pants :( Sorry to hear about unknown condition, and hopefully your doctor can give more helpful advice than the consultant. In my experience, they can be very inhuman people, just look at you as a collection of problems rather than as a person with feelings. Big hugs x

Picked up the consultants letter and fit note from Dr surgery today together with more tablets. Will need to hand in paperwork to work tomorrow for amended duties to continue

Had a nice meal out with parents tonight as they go home tomorrow. We went to local pub and I paid for food £15.99 for all three of us so didn't break the bank :)

Wow, that was a nice cheap meal! KW and I are taking my parents and DD out on Sunday (first time he'll have met them, gulp) and it's going to be an arm and a leg :( But will be scrumptious I'm sure!

KK have just noticed your sig are you not tempted to round it up to £50K :D

Have just realised DS has not paid his rent and I have gone overdrawn :( I have an arranged overdraft so not as bad as it could have been but am not very happy with him. He has transferred the funds so I am in the black again.

I have also had to take £200 out of savings to pay towards credit card bill - mostly stuff for puppy proofing so was for a good cause ! Will be glad when this month is over. DS is away for a few weeks in September so I am going to try and live off a very cheap food budget to try and get back on track. Am off to the OS board to get some cheap recipes

I've done the same as you, have taken £266.31 out of savings to pay my credit card. Grrr. I've still got a couple of majorly expensive days/nights to come before payday, but am going to keep my purse in my handbag as much as possible.....famous last words!

If I was still married we would have paid off our mortgage by now When I got divorced and took on the mortgage I had to extend the term to be able to afford to pay it and so I will be 65 when its paid off. :( I don't get my state pension until I'm 68 and my company pension is worth a pittance. Less money and no holidays is just a way of life now. Thankfully good friends and family keep life bearable. :D

I've just paid my credit card bill £433.56 ouch. Must get back on track next month. No savings this month used £200 & took £200 out of savings account & £33.56 out of birthday/xmas fund to pay credit card. Bank rewards will make up the shortfall in the Christmas savings. Bought my B-in-L a birthday card today £1.20 and put £10 in plus cost of a first class stamp, all paid out of birthday fund.

Definitely KK, I need to have a frugal September and October.

Its hot today so I have filled the washing machine as much as possible to make up a load and its out on the line drying. I have filled a large bottle with water in the fridge instead of buying cans of pepsi max.

Went to coop for curry sauce for tea and got one on offer for £1. I got there just as they were reducing stuff and got 2 steak and kidney pies reduced from £1.95 each to 49p each which will be cheap but yummy meals for me with lots of cheap veg when DS is on holiday. .

Also some chicken pakora type bites reduced from £1.99 to 49p and a large strawberry trifle down from £2.61 to 69p :j so we will have a feast for dinner :D

I'm in the pact too please. We are all in the same boat! Is there any chance you can rent out your spare room now it's done up?

    Well done on food bargains.
