Hope your test goes well milly, let me know how you get on, I've got mine next week & I'm dreading it! Think I'm scared the dreaded morning sickness will make a return if I don't eat before leaving the house!
Enjoy your 1st day of maternity leave Nicky!
Re bras. I got measured in mothercare a few weeks ago. The size they said I was there included being able to put my hand comfortably between the strap & top of my boob to allow for extra space when my milk came in. I happened to find a nice mon-wired / nursing bra there then in the sale in my size but have since ordered a few more from Asda. My friend swore by them & I think they're about £8 each. I had a look on their site the other day & they seemed to have a bit more maternity listed, maybe due to the baby event? But could be worth a go? Also those comfort bras they do now, which remind me of crop tops from when I was young, can work well. Really stretchy & comfy but easy to move out of the way for feeding. I wear one of those to bed as I don't like not having anything bra-like on!
Don't know if you're all signed up to the boots parenting club already, they now have an app instead of the advantage machine & you download the offers you want from there. For the last 2 months I've had a voucher for a free pack of breast pads & 25% off another, popped in on the weekend & breast pads & maternity towels are on 3 for 2. Using both of those vouchers I only paid £2 for 3 boxes. Bargain!0 -
*waves* sorry have not been about much but have been reading and keeping up.
Hugs to all that are under the weather, or just a bit fed up.
Had MW appt this morning, bump is a little small, but she's not concerned, and I've been told off for doing too much, so today is an enforced day on the sofa with Netflix and some cross stitch
Got a psychiatrist meds review on Thursday, it's a new psych, and lots of people I don't know, so am quite worried/distracted. I really don't want to take meds, but it looks as though I may need to, so worried about any ill effects to munchkin.
Sorry for the misery post, sure I'll feel better once Thursday is out of the way, they're not normally as bad as I worry about.'By all means let's be open minded, but not so open minded that our brains drop out.'0 -
So I've finished my glucose blood test. Went quite quickly actually. With my headphones in and a movie.
I dropped in on Asda while I was in town with a hope of getting some nappies on offer but the size 1s were still move expensive than tesco. I got some wipes while I was there tho but I already have quite a stock pile but I will eventually need them. I couldn't see anything else that I needed on any better offers than what I've seen elsewhere so left and as I was also near tesco, and never usually go to it, I decided to pop in there and get a couple packs of nappies to finally start the stock pilling.
Back home now with further tradesman wondering around my house, hopefully, completing my kitchen.0 -
I got some bedding in Asda, moses basket sheets 3 for £5 and combed sheets 3 for £9. I got a box of wipes too but I don't want to think about how many packs I've already got! I also didn't get any nappies as I've got loads & have totally lost track of what I've got!0

Hi ladies, sneakily reading back and updating from work again! Naughty me!!
RebekahR - i *think* you can just log back into all of the baby groups and add new babies details on, i'm sure i've done it for the supermarkets and boots and just updated to add 1 child and 1 on the way and i've been sent stuff through
Trixsie - tbh, if the buggy is in very good condition and the one you wanted, i'd take up the offer! Buggies are very expensuve and if you know its been well looked after, it'll still be 'new' for you. Altho i do understand wanting a brand new one, its very satisfying taking delivery, getting it out of the box and having a play!
Nicky - Yay for finishing work!! Hope you're enjoying your first full day at home! I finish on the 6th Feb altho i only work 2.5 days a week so only really have 4.5 days left!! I'm sure the hen do will be fine, i'm sure your friend will appreciate you making an appearance even if you can't manage the whole weekend. Just make sure yuo don't boogie that baby out!! :rotfl:
Princess K - Boooo to wallpaper gate, sounds like a bit of a PITA!! Altho i must admit, i've not heard good things about M&P's customer services. Hopefully they can sort you out fairly quickly tho. The M&P's closest to me is one of the ones closing down so have had 70% off everything, i picked up a few bits but most of the good stuff had gone i think
Missy - YAY for a successful scan!! Sounds like you got some amazing images! It fascinates me the detail they can get on baby!
Bubblepops - Hope your appointment this week goes ok, glad you are getting the support you need and asking for it too!!
Jedi and Downhill - welcome to the big girls (literally! :rotfl:) thread. Hope the nxt few weeks are as stress free as possible
As for me, had a MW app this morning for her to tell me she doesn't need to see me if i'm being monitored at the hsospital. Altho i have booked on to an antenatel class and need to book a whooping cough jab. Has anyone else had one of these? I'm half tempted not to bother!!
I really think i need to start getting organised too, i have no hospital bag, nothing to put in said hospital bag, no nappies/wipes, no moses basket, no clothes ready, haven't actually confirmed who will be having ds when the time comes  eeeeeeeeek, i really need to pull my finger out!!
Really beginning to get tired and uncomfortable now as well, OH is fab and takes ds out whenever he has time off so i get to rest but as i only work p/t, i have my ds 2 days a week and the poor mite can't really understand that mummy's tired and just wants to lay down all the time!0 -
I had my whooping cough jab last week at 28 weeks, although I think you can have it up to 35 weeks. It was fine, didn't feel unwell after it at all, I do have a bit of a lump on my arm still but I always get that with jabs.0

Hello all! Never thought I'd make it to the too worn out yo log on list!
Currently one handed typing feeding our beautiful baby girl, born 4 January, after a very eventful labour ending in emergency c section. She was 10lb 5, only one in a thousand babies are that heavy!
We spent a long time in hospital.
Good luck to everyone with their pregnancies andbirths. Congrats to any new babies I missed!0 -
Congratulations timeflies! What a whopper! Hope you're recovering well & enjoying this special time with your baby girl! x0

Congrats Timeflies!
Just back from the consultant's - a bit disappointed really as they've booked us in for an induction, but not for another fortnight. I'd rather hoped for something a bit sooner...
He's measuring large (enormous in my eyes!) because of the diabetes, but just under their threshold for earlier action. As we're only 36+3, his lungs and kidneys aren't fully developed so they'd rather give him a bit more time. I understand and support all that, but still a bit deflated (not to mention got to rearrange husband's leave and family visiting etc.).
They'll take another look at us next Tuesday, and see how much fatter he's got by then before making the final decision. Quite frankly, he needs to have shrunk some by then!
On the upside though, I should have a working oven by then, and with any luck the builders will have finished building our bedroom and bathroom - would be nice to come home to a proper bedroom rather than a building site...MFW 01/01/17 - £123,279.40

Hi everyone
I'm sorry I haven't been posting much recently, I'm really struggling with my anxiety/depression. I met with the specialist mental health midwife today which was good but also meant I had to talk about things which is bad because it means acknowledging things! She has reassured me that if I need to increase my meds I have enough leeway to do so as I reduced to a really low dose early pregnancy so I'll see how things are over the next couple of weeks. I'm going to see her again in 4 weeks. I'm seeing "normal" midwife on Thursday for 28wk apt.
I'm still lurking and reading and sending mental hugs and "high fives" to people!!! But posting and replying to individuals is a bit much for me at the moment - sorry!
On a more positive note, my mum is much better, on antibiotics for a severe chest infection. But at least it wasn't pneumonia which she sometimes gets in the winter.Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0
