We earn about 7000 net per month between the two of us. No idea about how much we save each month since we don't budget or put money away. But looking at how much we saved over the last 3 years (although earning was probably 2/3rds over the 1st 2 years) it was about 100k in total. Our mortgage payments are about 1000 each month in total for the 2 properties we own. Looking at some of your figures there's much improvement for us to make, starting from this year, as we enter our 30s.0

I currently take home £1,830.00 p/m and as of Monday (new job!), it will be £1,900.00 - However I have applied to start a company pension which is a sacrifice of 5.00% so I will only be taking home £1,818.00!
My rent alone is £895.00 and just adding on utilities and petrol budget take this above £1,200 outgoings per month.
The prospect of taking home less is petrifying, but I WILL still make sure I continue to save £200.00 (or more) per month!
It could be worse! :beer:FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%
Emergency Savings - £750.00 / £5,000 - 15.00%

£6,500 per month - save £1,200 in S&S ISA and £500 into a pension. £2,000 per month into NSandI that covers my tax come January.
I know its rubbish interest, but stops me just drawing upon it via internet banking!0 -
I live in Paris and I study in FIGS . I don’t earn that much, maybe 1000 ish, and I can’t save a cent lol. That’s why I’m here.0
