How much do you earn and able to save a month?

I gross over £30k a year, it's a bit variable as I do contracting work in my spare time, but probably will gross £34k this year.
I have no spare cash so savings are zero. My budget shows a spare amount of £2-300 monthly but there is always something unexpected that comes along to eat into that, car problems, dentists bills, home repairs etc.
Hopefully going to start doing more overtime for the day job to give me a bit of a cushion.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
Would be better if folk said what they did as well - especially for those gigantic incomes!0

I wish I was rich. Glad I am on this site. MMM is fab but too intense for me maybe that's why I am poor. lol.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I earn around £2k a month and £900 is saved. I'm a single mum of two so if I can put money away, anyone can. I also earn a min of £1k per month tax free. I'm happy to answer any questions about it but obviously I can't post a link, could try via PM if you're interested.2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

I earn just over 1400 quid a month after tax and other deductions. On a good month I can save at most £200 - £300, but sooner or later some extra expense crops up and wipes out most of my savings
. Off to the garage in the morning to pick up my car and settle the bill for approx. £500.

My basic income is £1530 but have regular overtime which varies, so this month I earned £1800ish. OH earns £1470 and same job as me so overtime varies again. We save £500 together monthly at the moment but just started to increase this to £1000 so we'll see how we get on.Mortgage started 2015: £150,000 2016: £130,000 2017: £116,000 2018: £105,000 2019: £88,000 2020: £69,000 2021: £51,195 2023: MORTGAGE FREE!0

I am a pensioner and have around a total of £1100 odd per month coming in I save around £300 per month every month without fail, and live failry well.I have always been frugal and canny with my cash and want for nothing.I enjoy my life and help my youngest DD out with childcare so she can work full time, and I look after 3 sometimes four of my grandsons. We are a close knit family who help each other when things are hard.
I shop carefully and use all the available things I can think of to get best value for my money that I can .I pay for the holiday house very year and 7 of us go away every August for two weeks My DD buys the food for the fortnight as her part of the holiday.
I usually have perhaps on major expense per year This year was a new TV as my previous third hand 16 year old one had finally bit the dust.
Last year I treated myself to a new lap-top.Apart from my regular savings I also have a rainy day fund thats there for emergencies.
My house is paid for so I have no mortgage and I change my car every three years as I lease it.
I owe no one, and have a weatherproof roof over my head, and more than enough food in the cupboard.I don't smoke and rarely drink as I drive.
I am quite happy with my lot in life and my greatest treasures are my family whom I love dearly and my seven grandchildren (one of whom I help with cash every month as he is at Uni).
As he leaves in two years time his next brother down will be starting so he will get the money to help him through as well
My granddaughter had it when she was at Uni.Families to me are more important than anything else0
