    awwwwwwwww so cute
my daughter aquired a moggy when her neighbours moved away and left her behind - probably because she was pregnant!!
luckily she managed to home them (one came back) .
My little baby was a black and white years ago and it broke my heart when I lost her, would still love one but can't face the heartache.

It's a bit sad and superficial that people turn down cats because they are the "wrong" colour. They totally and utterly miss the point of having a pet. Maybe they should just get a stuffed toy if they only want something furry to look at.

My current two are black and white, and a white and black.
My recently deceased Teddy was long-haired ginger and white and beautiful! The woman who rescued him insisted I have him even though I went to her asking to take whatever cat was there the longest.
Previously I've had three all black cats (utterly utterly gorgeous boys!) and a tabby girl. At one point I had two black boys, next door had two black boys and a black girl. They were all different, neighbour and I could instantly tell them all apart.
  • My last old lady was a black and white long haired beauty.

I prefer all black or black and white long haired cats.

The OH has laid down the law that I've not to re-home another cat... :rotfl:
    I'm not that way reclined

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

I have a cat called zorro - he's 15 - white and tortie. Got from a CPL when he was 3 weeks old. Called zorro because he was handy with his claws and has inscribed me hundreds of times!!! Have another (tabby) rescued at 6 months who is tabby & fat!!! zorro is slim and has a wobble as he's had a mini stroke. He is gorgeous though and lives with our two dogs very happily. Would I get another cat when the times comes? Will have to see, depending on our circumstances. Will it be a rescue cat - DEFINATELY. x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Why do people go to a cat rescue when they are so picky? It makes me so sad to think of all those lovely kittens wanting a home. I daren't go to their rescue centre because I'd bring them all home!! :rotfl:

I was very fussy when I was looking at dog rescues, because I'm allergic so i have to be! You never know, there may be some genuine reasons in there.

If these people have their heart set on a tabby or a maine coon then they'll get one anyway, at least they tried the rescue centre first before going straight to buying one I suppose.

I don't understand why black and white cats are ignored though, I'd have thought they'd be popular, especially if they're black with white feet, I love those!

We used to foster for a cat charity and it was always difficult to rehome the blacks and black and white cats/ kittens. I can see both sides of the argument to be honest. Some people just arent a fan of the blacks/ whites its as simple as that. I always preffered the tabbies and torties which was my personal choice as and when i was going to own a cat.

Fostering changed my opinion on both those colours as the colour of the cat can really affect the personality of them (we fostered about 30 cats over two years)

One of our last foster cats was a half dead little black and white felix lookalike kitten we named Ollie (Oliver Twist) he was full of cat flu, snotting everywhere and soooo skinny. Needless to say Ollie will be four this year and he is the most handsome cat i know and i will never part with him :D
    Ant.

Black and white are so cute, both of ours are black and white (one more black and one more white) our old cat that died in January was all black.

Too many people are after something to show off with. A black and white moggy isnt "cool".

    Regardless we love ours!

I posted this link before but heres our big boy http://alternativeeden365.blogspot.com/2012/02/24-february.html

When I arrived at the ASSISI the day Orbit passed away (just got in the car & drove, couldn't stay in the house,& wound up there!) I was really looking for 'another Orbit' in a tabby & totally overlooked the black & white cats, then they suggested Diasy & when I found out her story,I decided to take her....Best decision I made...

My favourite thing about them is the black faces with the white whiskas!
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.
They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.
  • bean is my boy kitty and he is black and white, with a little hitler tache going on. i think it's called a cap and saddle, though he has one black front leg, and the opposite back leg is black too, with a wee white tip on his tail. he's such a handsome boy.

coco is my little princess and she is all black, with about 20 white hairs flecked all around her chest. she is a complete little ninja cat, she makes me laugh so much. i was living with my brother and his girlfriend for 2 months, and they never knew where she was at in the evenings, and would have almost died of a heart attack cause you'd just be twiddling your hair then all of a sudden she'd appear at your hand attacking you!
