  • Mine is NOT a black and white cat as that might provoke accusations she's associated with the evil that is Newcastle United... she's white and black!

mmmmmm not a Sunderland supporter by any chance?:D

Before then I had a female who was a mix of a tabby and tortie and so grumpy!!

It's the tortie .... mine's a moody so & so - purring away on my knee having cuddles one minute and then turns around and bites me..... a loveable Jekyll & Hyde!

our cat is a black and white - never even occurred to me that he wouldn't be wanted any less or more than any other colour cat (this is him when he first got him, before he grew into his ears lol) -

there is an absolutely beautiful little black cat with a white fluffy breast near our office, seeing that little cat cheers me up no end on my way there in the morning.

They don't help themselves sometimes, do they! It's not natural for them to be stuck in cages either!!

I know I was really shocked:eek: they keep saying how much they need homes but yet can be so difficult. I even told them I have a big 3 bedroom house that they can run around in, but this apparently is not good enough either :(

Hiya Spike! I think Daisy is a Domestic Short Hair? (i.e. moggy lol). She doesn't quite have the attributes I would associate with a BSH ;) But you are correct in that DSHs (and BSHs) are renowned for their great temperament :D I hope she is feeling better soon, by the way :)

    Daisy's not happy..she say's she's no moggy! She's a proper little lady!!!:D
All I can read on her vaccination record is "....short hair" as the was a sticker over the page that's been ripped off..

You all have beautiful cats, i can't post pics of my two but they are just as yummy.

There is something utterly adorable about a little white nose appearing over my head in the morning wanting his breakfast!

Nothing wrong with being a Moggy, at least thats what my three moggies tell me. :rotfl:

But she is definitely a Domestic Short Hair, not a British. BSHs are much bigger and more muscular. Your Daisy is very svelte and slim - a true lady indeed ;)

I think 'some' people go along to rescues hoping to get a 'pedigree' cat they can then brag that they paid £££££s for! they are snobs and would be no good as owners for rescue cats anyway!
my first cat was brought home by my DD during the miners strike - and my OH was a miner on strike! the little bu99er won our hearts and stayed for nearly thirteen years. little black and white moggy who terrorised the local cats and dogs!
our next and last cat was a ginger/white long haired moggy - who I felt sorry for and er catnapped! he had FIV and the vet said he would have died in a couple of weeks. I called him my 'Temple cat' as he seemed to spend most of his time praying and was such a gentle cat!
I love american rag dolls - but if I ever get another cat - it will be rescue - and I wont care if its pedigree, black, white, purple or green - it will be because I fell in love!
